"Awful customer service of staff at hotel"
I stayed at Ushuaia between 5th- 7th October with my husband. We have stayed twice before one of which was our honeymoon a couple of years ago so knew what we were getting. My review isn’t based on the facilities of the hotel more the experience we had........ We booked a suite which was lovely as you would expect. The night before we checked out we asked for a late check out and was told it would be €100, & to call down in the morning to book if we would like to arrange. As out flight wasn’t until nearly 10pm we decided to go ahead and book it. When my husband rang down that morning, we were then told it was now €200 and accused us of lying saying it wasn’t that amount. I went down to speak to the reception who wouldn’t budge on this even though hours before it was €100. Needless to say we didn’t bother. When we later got ready to leave my husband realised he’d left our jumpers in a drawer in the room. We spoke to reception who took us up to the room to collect them - however the jumpers were now gone. No sign of them in housekeeping either. No one had checked into the room either. Obviously someone had been in the room after we left and took them. On arriving home I found a charge of £150 on my credit card. I contacted the hotel to ask what this was. They said I had had a bottle of champagne, a beer and water from the mini bar. None of any we have had. I have twice further emailed them to refund me to no response. I have now been in touch with my credit card company to pursue the issue. The lack of response is so poor from this hotel. I am disgusted how we’ve been charged for this, and our jumpers gone missing and still no response. I think they think we will drop this but we won’t as we genuinely haven’t had any of what they’re saying! We regularly stay at hotels around Europe and never have I been treated like this. Beware anyone staying here as some of staff cant be trustworthy and are getting away with it probably due to it being the end of the season and the hotel closing.
"Ushuaia Closing Night"
Loved, loved, LOVED it! Amazing music and despite 4000 people, and the fact that I was a solo female traveller, I felt safe and danced until the end. Met crazy, lovely, kind people and just raised my hands to the fantastic beats, light show and pyrotechnics that is Ushuaia. Thanks for an incredible time. Would do it again, even solo!
"Beautiful hotel shame about the customer service"
We stayed at Ushuaia from Thursday 12th to Sunday 15th. The hotel is beautiful , it looks a dream . But reception staff were arrogant from check in . We stayed in a superior room , booked as a package holiday through British Airways . On arrival they needed €300 deposit per room . As we were 4 girls on this break , with two rooms booked we were put on the 5th floor . Room 503 and 505. Our booking included breakfast , which works well and is really really good. No complaints for the breakfast even the staff were amazing . But there were birds picking on the cakes which were uncovered. On Friday later afternoon my friend went to take a shower , as she was bathing the glass door in the bathroom shattered injuring her shoulder and hand . A doctor was called and a spanish report was given by the doctor .No formal apology was given and nothing came out of this accident . My friends were moved to a suite which is quote big and has a jaccuzi . Im not sure if its worth the money but its perfect for couples rather than a girls trip. So if you stay in a suite you get a glass table with proper chairs and if you are in a double superior you sit on a wooden table with plastic chairs . The attitude of most of the staff is appalling , I didnt quite enjoy this break as from day 1 on check in its been unpleasant . The pool is good and was quite warm but the staff there arrogant too . I would stay somewhere else rather than Ushuaia . Beautiful hotel shame about the arrogant employees who have no customer service skills .
"Anniversary visit "
Had a great week here for our wedding anniversary. Beach is a stone throw away which was perfect. There’s some really great little cafes about close to the hotel. The rooms are comfy with a great bathroom. Hotel staff are professional and attentive. Room service was average.
"Best weekend of my life !!!!!"
To simply sum my weekend at this amazing hotel. WOW..... We came for the closing party and hand on my heart I can honestly say this was the best event/weekend of my life. The hotel is amazing, sheer luxury and the rooms are immaculate. Being the closing party of the year it was absolutely packed and the event was unbelievable. The stage, lasers, special effects & production were out of this world. The DJ's and music were also brilliant. Put this all together and this is a weekend i'll remember for the rest of my life. On the Sunday night we went to 'HI' which is Ushuaia's nightclub which is directly across the road from the hotel. This to was also brilliant. The sound system/lasers were unreal. The whole weekend from start to finish was out of this world. If you ever go to Ibiza then you MUST go to USHUAIA. It's not cheap but it's worth every penny. I've put a brilliant 6 minute video on YouTube of DJ KOLSCH playing The Age of Love. It's named: DJ Kolsch Ushuaia closing party 2017 by jasefulleffect Please check this video out and you will see exactly what this event is about. It's unreal and the atmosphere was electric. Its a definite 10 out of 10 from me for this. To the owners/managers & staff... I applaud you and would like to publicly thank you for what was by far the best weekend of my life ;-) If clubs/events are your thing then this is an absolute must do... or if you just want a beautiful hotel which ouzes with style class and luxury then again this is an absolute must !!!!!
