"Ushuaia does it again!"
We are fortunate enough to be able to afford some of the best rooms that the hotel has to offer and we stayed for 5 nights from June the 13th and enjoyed every minute. All the staff we interacted with could not have been more helpful and Denisa and Teo from the VIP Team were as fantastic as ever. We have tried other hotels n Ibiza but come back here time and again. If you are looking for a fun time and great facilities then you need look no further. Room service was up to its usual excellent standards and always arrived promptly and with a smile. Do not be put off by any reports of it being noisy after the in-house events have finished because in all the times we have stayed there we only experienced noise in the corridors and rooms once and you would have to be a real killjoy not to accept others having fun from time to time - better to join in the fun than moan about it! We will be back very soon to enjoy the recently renovated rooms that we enjoy so much.
"Anniversary stay at Ushuaia"
My husband and I recently stayed at Ushuaia for our anniversary - it was incredible. We stayed in a suite with a stage view in The Tower to give us option of seeing David Guetta away from the crowds. As it was we actually loved the atmosphere in the crowd and as we were hotel guests we avoided the queues and had a place towards the front. The suite was very spacious and clean. Breakfast at the Beach Club was wonderful - something for everyone. Will definitely be going back.
"Ruddest staff I've ever come across"
Myself and my friends went for the opening party in may. The place itself is an amazing venue, can't be faulted in that way. The problem is the stuck up rude bar staff. We all felt the same to the point we left! Me, and my 2 friends ALL had a vodka and lemonade however went to the bar on separate occasions. One friend got charged €12, One got charged €16 and I got charged €20. And we all had the same drink from the same bar'!The staff were making the prices up. Another friend went to one of the bars and was waiting ages, the girl behind the bar was only serving men... eventually my friend said "I've been waiting ages" and the bar girl replied " men take priority here you can wait" then laughed. How rude! That was the final straw, cold, unprofessional and rude! Never again! The staff need to be closely monitored!
"Five stars for Alvaro "up" at the rooftop bar"
Only the best bartenders perform card tricks, and Alvaro was no exception! He really made our night. We really enjoyed the view, the cocktails and the the Shisha (even at €100) As for hotel check in the staff were lovely, but after a very big day of travel, we were disappointed our room wasn't ready until 5pm. Alvaro's service 5/5 Rooftop bar 4/5 Reception Staff 5/5 3 hour wait for our room (we arrived at 2pm, when check in was meant to be 3pm, so technically we only waited 2 hours after check in) 2/5
"Good location, great facilities, inconsistent staff"
This is an on going review, as I am still a guest of the hotel. The hotel is well located, the facilities are great and the environment is nice. The principal flaw of this hotel is the inconsistent service you'll get from the staff. Right from the get go when we were dropped by our cab we got NO help with our luggage, having to roll it up a small hill. The check-in was smooth and the room delivered on what was displayed on-line. The food is OK, but not espectacular (3 out of 5 stars for me). The pool environment is great and depending on your waiter you'll get okay to bad service (we haven't got any espectacular service from what claims to be a 5 start hotel). The Concierge service has let us down twice, as we've tried to book reservations to a couple of different places, and their follow-up is non-existent. We don't know if they even tried to book something for us, the fact is that after we contacted them they didn't came back to us. Finally and more importantly, I am waiting for them to sort out an internal issue so I can continue charging services, meals, etc to my room, but they haven't come back to me (1 hour already). Is obvious that this hotel looks for younger, millennial, staff that looks good but that doesn't know how to solve issues and deliver. Everything will be good as long as you don't have a single problem, otherwise, in true millennial fashion they will act as the problem does not exist and wait for it to solve itself. Bad thing about it, is that this type of cannot do attitude does not go well with people like me who are frequent travelers and visitors of true quality places. In short: place looks good, is well located, food is ok, nice environment....service, service is another story...it's a shot in the dark. I'm going to be here 3 more days (already paid in full my nights) and will see if they make it up to us.
