"Our favourite hotel"
The hotel is now back in the safe hands of Yusuf and staff. All the staff from the animation with Dacha and Cisco to the restaurant staff Yusuf and Urgar really go the extra mile to make you feel so welcome not forgetting Patrick aka Abdullah. The rooms are well furnished with kettle bathrobes slippers etc and are cleaned to a high standard. The food is good and varied, with a wonderful selection of salads and cheeses. The sunset is unbelievable,as are the views from the superior rooms. The only down side was the influx of 400 students who quite frankly were a nuisance many of which were drunk and quite aggressive. Please no more as most guests go on holiday for relaxation and some well earned sunshine and to chill. Will return next year but a week later I think.
"It’s a fantastic hotel but ……."
Stayed at the Sundance Resort first week of May. Upon arriving we were so impressed! We were given a Superior room with a double bed, but as we are two ladies holidaying together we asked to be moved to a twin. This was no problem and we were moved us straight away and given wine and fruit for the room. We settled into our first evening of peace and tranquillity (the views are just amazing). However, upon returning from a relaxing massage on the second day, we were greeted by 400 university students raving around the pool area. I like music around the pool but this was just deafening boom boom music for most of the day. We were unable to get to the pool, yet alone the bar! Fortunately the bar manager made a queue away from the students so other guests could still get a drink. Most of the students were well behaved and we even had a drink with some but there was a small minority who just drank vodka all day long. I think the hotel should have stopped serving them when they were too drunk to stand up. It all culminated in a big frightening fight on their last day! The staff are just wonderful and can’t do enough for you, especially in the restaurant. I do feel that at times there was a certain lack of attention to detail, like there being no toilet rolls in the lobby bar toilets for a whole day/evening, mini bar not always stocked up and cleaning of rooms at 6pm (just as you are getting ready to go out). Negatives: There only seemed to be two small bars in the hotel, so I’m not sure how this would work in high season when the hotel is full. Some of the rooms are in the interior of the hotel, so you wouldn’t necessarily get a view. Positives: Turgutreis is a wonderful small town with something for everyone. The views along the strip are just to die for, especially the sunsets. Staff at the hotel are so nice, from the cleaners, bar staff, restaurant and reception, and they work such long hours and are always smiling and friendly. Food was OK normal buffet style but loads to choose from, always meat and fish and the usual salads and fantastic deserts. Would I return …. YES definitely, but would probably avoid student graduation time!
A week before we were due to be going on holiday me and my partner were moved to this hotel due to our previous hotel having construction work. We were a little apprehensive to start off as we hadn't researched this hotel. What can i say'....We arrived and were shown to a room with a beautiful sea view, to which offers the most stunning sunset ive ever seen. The hotel was very spotlessly clean, the food was plentiful and there was always something different to try each night. The animation team made our holiday. A special thanks to Dasha, Sisco and Sam who were always welcoming, encouraging people to take part in activities and made our holiday one to remember. The only downside to our holiday were the 400+ students who arrived half way through. They were on a break from University and the majority of them were incredibly loud and disruptive. They took over the pool and beach areas, set up a DJ and played blaring music from around 3pm until 7ish (which could be heard up the road at other hotels. They disrupted the calm atmosphere and made it a little uncomfortable for guests. Once they had left the hotel peace was restored! All in all I would 100% recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a perfect getaway either as a couple, with friends or with children. Ill certainly be making my partner book to come back here!
"Well run, super location."
May'17 Just arrived back after a two week stay. Have to say the staff have been nothing short of amazing. Clean towels and housekeeping every day. The highlight was the animation team with a special thank you to the amazing Dasha and Cisco who work tirelessly to make you feel welcome. The location, views and sunsets are spectacular. Not too far out of the town which is friendly containing a criss cross of gift shops, bars and restaurants. The food is always subjective but we found it varied, plentiful and well presented. The only criticism during our stay was an influx of five hundred students over the two weekends (there day break). They effectively annexed the pool area and played extremely loud house music from 1600 - 1900 on all the three days. That aside the hotel managed to cope with them effectively. I suspect after this first venture with student breaks they may be cautious about repeating the exercise next year at this time.
"Great last minute holiday."
Really enjoyed this short break, all the staff were lovely, lots of choices for places to eat. The main shopping town wasnt far away and even the shop keepers were lovely and helpful. We were so impressed with the facilites they had for the elderly and special needs.
