This hotel is fine. The rooms are a good size, the breakfast is nice. It's a good deal for the price as the rooms are not expensive compared to some hotels. Unlike some hotels I have stayed in in China everything smelled pleasant and fresh, no smell of smoking. A couple of small problems - the gym / swimming pool is only open from 2pm onwards, this is not really acceptable in a 4 star hotel, as most people would expect to be able to use these facilities during the morning. Also, reception staff don't speak the best English. And lastly, I tried to take a bath, arriving tired. The water pressure for the bath was incredibly poor, and water was not hot. It took around 20 minutes to run a bath, and I had to add hot water from the kettle to achieve a good temperature. On the plus side, the hotel is very close to a metro station which makes getting around Beijing really easy. Overall the experience was good.
"Needs improvement "
This is the final leg of a 2 week stay in beijing. Overall the hotel is nice, the rooms are huge and nicely furnished. The only real issue that we had with it was that dispite a lot of the visitors being western, and a location close to the universities almost none of the staff spoke any English at all, meaning that communication was incredibly difficult. This is not to say that the staff was not helpful (they were and tried their best) but it would be a huge improvement if there was some English available. Would stay here again but bear this in mind when booking.
"Not sure what the vision is..."
This hotel is close to Beihang University, and about half an hour to 45 minutes (on a good day) to the airport, so not close to the old quarter in Beijing. Rooms were well appointed but the WiFi was hopelessly slow. Language accessibility was difficult for an international travellers, although the front desk tried to be helpful. Breakfast options did not change over 1 whole week, and service here was not up to standard - just grumpy!
"A Gem of Bejing"
This hotel gets so much love from me. It's in a very convenient location, close to lots of cool things to see, but even more importantly, they have great customer service. The woman at the front desk speaks English and is very helpful in giving directions and other information for finding your way around. If I went back to Beijing, this is exactly where I would stay again.
"Really friendly hotel"
We stayed there for 17 days. The hotel rooms are very spacial and clean. The staff are very friendly. It is very close to Beihang University and Beijing University. We had lunch twice at the restaurant on the third floor. The food was good, but a bit expensive; it also charges 15 percent service fee (which is not very common in China). There are lots of really good restaurants nearby if you don't mind walking 10 or 15 minutes. Anyway, we would definitely recommend the hotel.
