"Lifetime memory "
My husband and I travelled to this wonderful property for our 1st wedding anniversary. It was worth it! From the surprise decor in the room, to the private dinner arrangements, it was like a fairytale! My husband completely floored me and he had the complete support of the Taj staff to make this trip memorable. The food is delicious, must tries are wild mushroom soup, aguada punch, New Zealand lamb chops, chicken stuffed with spinach and much more. The room is spacious and comfortable, with a very beautiful view! It does take room service sometime to come to the rooms as it is a big property. It could help the room service staff if they were provided trolleys. But they always apologised for the delay and were had a bright smile on their face. The property is breathtaking, so peaceful and mesmerising. For those looking for a relaxed getaway or a romantic location, this property should be on your list!
"Awesome experience - True Taj Hospitality "
Stayed at Taj Fort Aguada for 2 nights while traveling to Goa for a business trip. A few of things that stood out were: 1. Airport pickup - an extremely comfortable ride to the hotel. 2. Great rooms - True Taj overlooking garden and a wonderful view 3. Incredible breakfast spread. Very few buffet chefs can cook up a “perfect” omelette 4. Convenient checkin and checkout process. Tip : the gym is shared with Taj Holiday Village and does not open till 6:30, but those who want can do a quick run to Fort Aguda (3.5km one way with a nice incline).. will be an awesome start to the day.
"Great service..True to Taj"
Had a memorable stay at the hotel.Food was exemplary, service was top notch and the fun quotient was high.My son had an exciting 5 days in the hotel. He was pampered by the staff for all he wanted to eat and and for all he wanted to do. He swam for 4 to 5 hours daily and the life guards including Sanjeev and his team took good care of him so that we could relax and enjoy our drinks. Accessibility to the beach was of great use and it took only a few steps to be at the beach.Bar manager at SFX, Francis(if I remember the name correctly),Ali the restaurant manager whom we met both at Kokum and Morisco were really good. The hostess at Kokum was one of the most efficient one I have seen in any 5 star hotel. We used the services of Taj Village also and had a similar experience there as well but must say Fort Aguada takes the cake.
"Best beach view hotel"
I visited this property in the off season. Was fortunate to get good weather in midst of August. The main reason why I selected to go here was the sea view rooms. I managed to get booking in twin bed sea view room. Happy to say that I wasn't disappointed with the sea view from my room. The rest of the property is also very nice with multiple sit-outs from where you can watch the sea pounding the beach. You can walk down to the beach and also access Taj village property which is adjacent. They provide facility to keep your things safe while you enjoy the beach. The staff at the hotel are very courteous. There are 3 restaurants on the property. The breakfast spread is good and you can enjoy breakfast watching the waves. There is a sea facing bar where you can order snacks with your drinks. The overall food is average. We ordered a goan prawns curry which was decent. But I have had better prawns curry in Goa. The Italian restaurant is average. They had 2 local performers who came and sang at your table. This was a good romantic experience. You have plenty of options to eat on the road leading to the hotel though. The swimming pool is decent and you can enjoy the evening there. If you are interested in a sea facing property with easy beach access this is the place to visit.
The Taj Fort Aguada Resort is a place I have called home since decades; and this is the fourth review I’ve written about it. I returned after a gap of two years; and, in the interim, the resort went through extensive renovations. I’m happy to say they have got it right! The lobby looks really classy and beautiful…to add to the breath-taking view from within and more so from its outdoor terraces. There weren’t many changes made to our favourite Terrace Rooms but the bathrooms have been totally revamped and modernised…with the plumbing now MUCH improved. However, the restaurants and other public areas are left…and some of these do need a face-lift. The beach, which was almost completely eroded by strange currents caused by the offshore shipwreck, has been slowly restoring itself after the ship was removed. It still isnt what it used to be earlier; but at least now it can be called a beach! The quality of food, I’m sorry to say, is not as superb as it once was, though the cocktails are excellent! What has NOT changed is the quality of service. The entire staff goes beyond courtesy and efficiency to REALLY go out of their way to be of service. And make you feel totally at home. Indeed, it still is “home” to many…and remains THE classic Goan resort.
