"5 night stay in a beautiful sea-view room"
We had a very nice stay at this hotel. The staff were friendly and the room was clean. The hotel and the property that its on is very beautiful. We were upgraded to a sea-view room which was very nice to wake up to. As this was our mini-moon stay, we were really looking forward to having a full spa day. When we went to book our massages etc, they did not have time for us at any point in the duration of our stay and were fully booked. We were extremely disappointed and felt if the spa was this busy we should have been informed so upon check in so we could book right away. We did some research online and found another hotel spa that we could go to. Olympic Sport and Spa Club, which was a 10 minute walk away, and a 5 minute cab ride back. Their massages were mediocre but their spa was beautiful. We are glad we went there, but also wish we could have checked out the spa in our hotel. The food at the hotel's restaurant was not the best and not 5-star level. We decided to stay in one night and have their buffet dinner, which was very disappointing. The breakfast buffet experience was much better than the dinner, however selection was limited and the food was always cold! We ordered room service one night, and that was very pleasing. They brought it up in a timely manner and the food was hot and tasty. We did not try the hotel's other restaurant "Freu's" which we heard good things about. Despite our issues with food, we would stay here again because we had no other issues and location was great.
"Not a 5 star hotel by any means"
We have recently spent 5 nights at this hotel what a disappointment. We had a superior room, which overlooked a carpark and waste land. The balcony had only room for two chairs. The bedroom floor was laminated which was chipped in several places. There was no toilet paper in bathroom.Had to request it from reception. The dining room was very attractive, but the food choice very poor. Breakfast limited choice, the evening meal poor. The buffet starter never varied. The chips were always lukewarm or cold and four of the evenings the meat on offer was Veal..Veal chops, which I could not even cut ,let alone eat.The next night Veal cheek, which was not pleasant.then Veal rump. The next night we had beef fillet, Which was good except my plate was flooded with blood. The desserts consisted of a choice of two very small pieces of cake and yogurt pot. There was no ice-cream,which is unusual in a poorest selection of desserts I've ever seen at any hotel. One lunch time I ordered A toasted sandwich and chips both had to be returned to the kitchen because they were cold. The bar prices were ridiculous, small tonic water 3.50 euro 6euro pint. That is probably the reason the bars were nearly empty most nights. No atmosphere at all.The pool table had a tear in the cloth. We used the Spa.There was no heath and safety signs about using the facilities. The handrail into the jaccusi was loose. When we returned to our room, all the towels had been removed except for one used bath towel.Car parking was 19 euro per night. These are all things you don't expect from a five star hotel. We live in Spain and have visited many hotels here. This was not worthy of 4 star even This was a treat for my husband's 70th birthday and cost me Over 600 euro for five nights. This hotel is at the back end of town and a good walk to the beach..No heated pool only in jaccusi, which you have to pay to use.
"A good hotel but defiantly not 5 stars - more pro's than con's"
Went there with some friends for a short holiday. The location is good, the breakfast is rich and tasty and the service is good. another good thing is the proximity to the beach and central bus station/ there is also a casino in the hotel - to those who like gambling There is a spa but you need to pay extra for it, the treatments are relatively expensive. The only thing that wasn’t so good were the rooms – the wash room is lack of ventilation, and the walls absorb the humidity. The air conditioning vents probably haven't been cleaned in a long time – since they full of dust. So the overall feeling in the rooms is "lack of fresh air". You can try and open the balcony window – but than all the smoke from the smokers in the different rooms fill your stuffed room.
We stayed at this hotel for 7 nights, our flight from the Uk was an evening flight so we didn't arrive at the hotel until midnight (our shuttle transfer kept us waiting at the airport for 90minutes..but that's a different story all together). When we arrived the rude! shuttle driver dropped us of at the car park, unsure of where the hotel entrance was, luckily we met one of the staff who was very nice and directed us to the hotel entrance. He also carried my luggage 😀 We booked a comfort double but was upgraded to a superior room on arrival for free. The staff offered us a glass of champagne at reception but we opted for juice. And we were directed to our room. The staff spoke English and were very helpful. We had to pay around 35€ for tax before check in which I wasn't aware of previously, They called our shuttle transfer service to confirm time of pick up and also printed our boarding pass at departure. Breakfast (we only booked bed and breakfast so can't review the lunch and dinner) Breakfast was a buffet. great selection of hot and cold food, cereal , fruits, cakes, bread and coffee & tea, only down side to hot drinks was there was no hot chicolate or lighter coffee option for those who like the latte feel. The lightest coffee was still very strong even with lots of milk. At breakfast you had the option to go for the plain omelette and scrambled eggs or wait for an omelette with filling to be freshly prepared, which we had most of our time spent their.... (delicious!) one thing I didn't like though was that bake bean was not always available. Of our 7 days it was only available for 3days. Might not be an issue for some! But was for me as a bake beans lover. Some of the sausages were too salty but bacon wasn't (usually the other way round) Fruits was fresh (grapes, melon, kiwi, etc) the juice option was also good, apple, orange, pomegranate, peach etc... Pool. The pool area was nice and tidy but not very fancy! They had a separate pool for kids. There was Option to purchase drink at the pool. The pool also had prohibited times when you can't use it...can't remember the times though!. The pool was not heated. Room As mentioned earlier we were told they upgraded us to a superior room but I think our room was nice enough for a double if I paid for superior I would have been disappointed. But overall was clean and had an okay view of the pool. Cleaners came everyday though we turned them away some days. There was a mini bar which had over priced items!... so we didn't take anything from it, we went to a supermarket close by! Air condition in the room was not very efficient. Wifi was alright at noon but towards the evening it was ridiculously slow. Had to use our own network. There was a safe in the room, but didn't use it so not sure if it's easy to operate. Location Location was okay, was about 10minutes walk to the beach, there was lots of fast food restaurants around, and shopping outlets. By the third day I was craving for spicy food but i was disappointed to find out that there was only two Chinese restaurant in lloret de mar, one was 10min walk away close to the beach but the restaurant looks dirty wouldn't drink or eat anything from them, the other was around 20minutes walk from the hotel (free wok) was alright considering the bad reviews they have on trip advisor. We went to Camp nou in Barcelona, by coach it was around an hour drive to Barcelona central (return ticket 20.98€ per person, then from Barcelona central to the stadium was 2:15€ one way person. So be prepared for around 26€ for your journey per person! We also visited the jardins de santa clotilde park (very beautiful environment) it was 5€ per person for entry. We also have the option to visit the water world 🌎 but we decided not to! As our holiday was more of a relaxing one. Spa The hotel had spa facilities which I feel were a bit pricy...but that's just me. I think that's all. Overall it's a nice location.
"3 day stay"
We stayed at this hotel for 3 days to attend my sons wedding in Blanes We found it to be relaxed friendly and clean. Pool area is lovely set amongst green grounds. Plenty of sun beds towels available for you to pick up from the side of the bar every day brilliant idea. Every morning a young girl ( sorry name has slipped my mind) got every one who wanted to either do stretches or pool excerises they was no pressure and my grandchildren looked. Breakfast was lovely plenty to choose from lovely outside tables and inside if you wished. Recommend you ask for a map of the area so you don't get lost as we did trying to find a Restarant which we found it was a steak place the food was very good. Wine cheap steak sooo good. The staff at reception were so helpful, friendly and happy to call taxis show me where I had to go etc ( sorry I'm really not good with names ) thank you to Gemma (I remembered your name because my daughter lol) the other young girl and the young man who checked us in. Although our stay was only short we all loved it Would recommend any one to stay here couples family's or groups.
