"Lovely hotel stay"
We had a very nice stay at the Art Deco imperial hotel. First time in Prague. Booking with them direct was easy and cost efficient. The communication with the team by email was prompt t and they clarified everything asked in a timely manner. We arrived early at lunch time and were given our room after very short wait. Even though check in was 3pm. The rooms were a nice size and we had a room at front of building on floor 4. I had read that it could be noisy but even though being a light sleeper found it okay. Street is quite at night so didn't really have disturbed sleep. Was just a little disappointed at the third bed being a small foldaway as we did pay a premium per night for extra bed and have had a lot better in 4* hotels for less premium. Nice clean bathroom and also had a separate toilet. Breakfast is served at the cafe imperial and was plentiful with nice fresh fruit and breads. Eggs and toast. Cheese selection good. Being vegetarian we still felt there was a good choice. But even more if non vegetarian. The hotel is very conveniently located. Good transport from a few minutes walk to further sights in Prague. Old town centre 10 minutes walk. Palladium shopping a few minutes walk. However, concierge day 1 & 2 was accommodating but there did seem to be a reluctance and forthcoming in advising best routes and things to do. She seemed more accommodating for mAybe those booking expensive transport with their executive cars and limo service and tours through them where they gained to profit rather than just advise on public transport that was not profiting them in any way. We got the route to castle and given route on map - tram 15 then bus 22. We naturally assumed that we got off at stop and just changed bus on same side. Realised we ended up back across the river and knew we were traveling in wrong direction. So got off and changed back. It would have been nice to been have told that you get off and go to opposite platform to change bus. 1 minute of their time and would have saved us a lot of time. Also I had to prompt from which side of road we need to get on tram originally. Plus tram/ bus drivers are partitioned off and not able to ask most times if going in right direction. But this was just logistics. Overall highly recommend this hotel and location perfect. I would come back and stay here again.
Spent 4 nights here in March this year. Staff very helpful, hotel and room very clean. Lovely old hotel not too far from old town but in quiet area. Breakfasts excellent. Ate in restaurant and also found this to be great. Would have eaten here more but there were other very good restaurants nearby.
Very pretty hotel! Great location. Breakfast is also great. But ask for the room that isn't facing the road because the trams may get a little loud. We also had 2 toilets in the room so we didnt have to fight over the bathroom.
"Beautiful and unique hotel"
Not your ordinary hotel. We upgraded our room when we arrived and was given a really lovely room with a full and a separate half-bath. Service was impeccable and the downstairs bar was lively and friendly. Highly recommend.
"Great Hotel -- Great Restaurant"
This was one of the best hotels we've ever stayed in an definitely the most beautiful. It is a fully restored Art Deco hotel with all the modern amenities. The staff is very nice and knowledgeable with excellent English skills. The room was gorgeous and the marble bathroom stunning. The 15 foot ceilings are amazing. It is just outside the old city center (3 blocks) but away from the throngs of people. It is near a very good modern shopping mall. The hotel restaurant is not to be missed. It is called the Imperial Hotel Cafe but not a cafe as you would think. In the US it would be at least a 4 star restaurant. The Chef is called the "Gordon Ramsay" of the Czech Republic and we wouldn't disagree. You'll probably need a reservation for the "Cafe" but we got one just one day before. He has another restaurant across the street called "Next Door" but we didn't try it. We just went back to the "Cafe". The food is a combination of items but we enjoyed the continental food which was a good as anything we've had in the US. Also the restaurant is gorgeous. It is all done in ceramics including a ceramic clock. We hope you have a chance to check out this hotel and restaurant; we're sure you'll enjoy it.
