"Fun hotel, great service"

I loved this hotel. The super friendly front desk agent knew that it was my first time in the hotel and upgraded me to a top-floor suite with floor-to-ceiling windows and wraparound views of downtown Vancouver. The room had a fireplace, Bang & Olufsen stereo system, small wraparound balcony, and a huge bathroom with walk-in shower and separate tub. While I got lucky with this upgrade, the quality of the room made me think this hotel does not cut corners. Everything was top tier, from the bedding to the Malin + Goetz bath products. This is a true design hotel, with funky artwork and furnishings - and while some of the design choices weren't exactly to my tastes, I can appreciate the fun that must have gone into designing this hotel. The only bad thing about my stay here was that it was for just one night. I would loved to have stayed a lot longer!

"Great experience in Vancouver"

The hotel was perfectly located near many great restaurants and area attractions. Staff was very nice at all times and made me feel welcome from the moment I got there until I left. Room was great and clean at all times. I would surely stay there again and recommend this hotel.

"Bathroom with a view"

A great experience, interesting view for others looking up at me in the bathroom, good for them :) The hotel was in a great location, its opposite the skytrain station and easy walk to many fine restaurants and bars.

"Weekend get a way"

This was the perfect location for our mission. We wanted to take the False Creek Ferry to various places and not have to drive anywhere for food and entertainment. Lots of restaurants with in a couple of blocks and a short walk (2 blocks) to the ferry. We had a standard room on the 6th floor. Not noisy as some had indicated, a bit small but comfortable. Staff was wonderful. Greeted us with sparkling wine and in our room were chocolates and chips. Coffee mugs and glasses were not plastic, a must for me to have real mugs. Kurig Coffee and tea, ice was provided as well as a water carafe. Parking a bit pricey, but such is Vancouver. We had drinks at the bar in the restaurant (Opus Bar was undergoing a remodel). Martini I had was made to my specifications. Wine list was pricy. We had continental breakfast included. Scones and granola were the best. We did not have a chance to eat dinner there. I did not give 5 stars, because of only one sink, although the bathroom was large enough for 2, and turning on the shower was a bit awkward, with the shower head in front of the controls, so I was a bit chilled and then too hot to get to the controls for adjustment. Other than that, I would rate it at 5.

"My favorite hotel"

I always love staying at the Opus. The staff always go out of their way to make you feel welcome. The place smells amazing and there are always these special little touches that make you want to come back again and again. The location is primo (right across the street from the Canada Line from the airport), there is a Café Artigianno beside the lobby and the rooms are fun and colorful. Ultimately, what I like the most is that it feels like a special/classy hotel but there is a complete lack of pretention and stuffiness. I credit the management for hiring great staff who 'get it'. Oh, and they like pink and purple which is always a bonus in my books.
