I was extremely impressed with the Opus, right from the start. I was greeted with an offer of some sparkling wine or a bottle of water, when I checked in and from then on, everything was just about perfect. My room on the 6th floor was delightful, with chrysthanthemum red walls and a king size bed. The bathroom was spacious and open to a street view. The hotel was modern but not at all clinical. The room service staff were excellent: friendly but not intrusive. The front desk staff were also very helpful. When I requested a pair of scissors, they quickly found a pair for me.
Front desk staff are always with smiles and very friendly. However, it could be better if they took note of my needs. I am a light sleeper, hence, I requested for a room away from the elevator and has no connecting door. However, I was given a room near the elevator, woke me up a few times on the first night. Hence, I requested for a change of room but they changed me to a room with connecting door. Let's hope I have a quiet neighbour!
"Fantastic hotel, great location!"
I stayed at the Opus for my first Vancouver visit and I'll definitely be heading back there next time I'm in town. The hotel is ideally located in Yaletown opposite the Canada Line station so super convenient and more importantly CHEAP to travel from the airport. The hotel facilities are all you could hope for from a boutique hotel and the staff were welcoming, friendly and were happy to share a joke. The rooms were spacious and very comfortable, no complaints on that front whatsoever! The hotel has a popular bar and restaurant not that I could hear any noise in my room. Close by are a wide selection of restaurants on Main and if partying is your thing then the bars and bright lights of Granville Street are only a short walk away. Overall highly recommended!
It is my favorite hotel in Vancouver and now with the new bar area just great I only can recommend this boutique hotel and I am looking forward to my next stay in February at the Opus just to let you know it is my 10th stay at the Opus
"Great Service, Swanky Place"
I like this hotel a lot, its got a modern and futuristic feel without feeling too spartan or cold. It's supremely functional with plenty of style. The staff at the front desk was always very pleasant and all smiles, and the rooms have everything you need. It's just great.
