"Fabulous home away from home"
Every time we go to Vancouver we stay at the Opus. It's always the same friendly staff that we've come to recognize and they recognize us. It's the little things, like decor, service, local artist/product/event promotion and thoughtful complimentary extras that make this hotel stand out. We love it and wouldn't stay anywhere else.
"What a great hotel"
My wife and I stayed here in November. It was a quick overnighter to see Fleetwood Mac. Our room was great and as a repeat customer there were small snacks in the room for us. We were greeted with a glass of sparkling wine or water upon check in. What was very good for us was the cell phone and iPad that came with the room. Internet access was free and local calls were very reasonable. This is great if you are not from Canada because data and roaming charges are expensive. The room was cleN and comfortable and the neighborhood had lots to offer for shopping, dining and night life.
My husband and I stayed at the Opus once before several years ago and did not have a great experience. However, we wanted to give it another try and we were not disappointed this time round. From the minute we walked in we were offered an arrival drink and our room was spacious, nicely decorated and very clean. And the bathroom! Wow! (However, just a note that the steam from the shower was leaving it's mark on the ceiling - we were in room 616). Was impressed by all the staff that we met and even our pooch enjoyed his stay. Will be back again I'm sure.

"Concert event - night downtown"
We stayed at the Opus the night of the Fleetwood Mac Concert in Vancouver, from the moment we got out of our vehicle the staff were amazing and the hotel was very pleasing, both visually as well as having an amazing aroma in the lobby. We were greeted with glasses of sparkling wine and received an upgrade for a minimal cost. The room itself was very well decorated and even though it was located on the 2nd floor on the corner of the hotel closest to Davie Street (a busy street in Yaletown, Vancouver) the room was very quiet. The room was very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. We met friends for drinks in the newly appointed lounge and bar area, amazing service - all in all it was a great night. As a note, this hotel is very conveniently located directly across from a Canada Line skytrain station, which is the train that goes to and from the airport or Richmond.
