"Our second wonderful visit...."
What more can I say.....great location, great staff, EXTREMELY pet friendly, GREAT wine hour reception, and Great room. (we had terrace room 245). We enjoyed the terrace area off of our room. The hotel is walking distance to many great restaurants. We love being able to enjoy the wine reception with our pup....THANK YOU HOTEL MONACO!!!
"Great Atmosphere with a chic attitude"
What a great place!! Staff was friendly and very personable. The attached restaurant was amazing!! Great vibrant atmosphere with great cocktails! The fireplace in the main lobby puts you in a good mood as soon as you walk in. The rooms are very clean and with a great view of the main strip. I will definitely stay at this hotel if ever in the area again. ....my only complaint has nothing to do with the hotel. It's the street sweeper at 4am!! It gets loud, but only for 3 mi s or so.
"Nice small hotel to stay at if you are Visiting Alexandria."
This is a little upscale moderate hotel to stay at in Old Town Alexandria. The location is great and if you are staying there without a car there are plenty of places to walk to eat and shop. The hotel had very fast check and check out services. The rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. Good set up to the room is you have to work. Overall I would recommend. Check out the AAA rate that is usually the best bang for your buck!
"Very interesting hotel, good amenities and great location"
Stayed on business, not your typical chain hotel, unique styling, clean rooms, reasonable prices for Alexandria. The room was small but well appointed, comfortable bed, free in room wifi. Happy hour in lobby from 4' to 6. Red and white wine, appys. very pleasant. Located close to chopping, restaurants, public transportation. It was about 15 minutes and $20.00 by cab from Regan international. I would stay again
My husband and I stayed at this hotel in mid October. The reservations were made several months ahead of time for the wedding we were attending in Old Town. Check-in went extremely well and the front desk staff were extremely friendly. We arrived several hours earlier than the check-in time, however, our room was ready and we were able to get in it. The rooms are very small with little drawer space. I'm not a fan of living out of a suitcase, however, I chose to do so that weekend because the drawer space was not accommodating at all. I would have had clothing all over the place. Living out of the suitcase wasn't ideal either because the room was very small so my suitcase was in a corner and my husband's was kept in the closet with most of his clothes still in it. We had the room with a king size bed. The bathroom was very clean, however, that too was not accommodating for toiletries. There was no drawer space at all so we were forced to use the little bit of counterspace around the sink and then use the small, square wood shelf that held towels to put our toiletries on (which were alot since we were attending a wedding). When I booked the room I went over the parking cost for each day we was staying. I was originally told that parking was $25/day and then for any day thereafter, it would cost an additional $10. Upon checkout, I was told the parking was $27/day with no discount for the additional days. Needless to say, I was not happy about this. After alot of complaining, the lady who checked us out, gave us our parking for free. I told her I didn't mind paying for parking at the rate I was quoted when I booked, however, she insisted on crediting us for the parking. Did the parking fee go up because there were several weddings at the hotel and it was the prime time for fall leaves'' Who knows, but make sure you confirm ALL of your information, not just check-in and checkout dates. Make sure you sign up for the reward points AND at "check-in" give then your member number. You can even call and give it to them. Doing this will help in checking out. I couldn't get the $10 off the in room refrigerator until I found my membership number. Would I stay here again - yes!! If small rooms don't bother you, then this hotel really is perfect. The location couldn't have been any better for the wedding and also for some shopping, the Saturday farmer's market (which I highly recommend) and walking to the waterfront. This hotel is pet friendly, which we loved since we are dog lovers. It warms the heart seeing all the dogs coming and going and also the huge water bowl in front of the hotel.
