"First class experience!"
Had the privilege to return to this hotel for a business trip. The service of the staff never fails to impress me - from the front desk to the housekeeping staff. There is definitely an elegant charm to this hotel.
"Very friendly staff but could do with a facelift"
The staff in this hotel really stood out and everyone has been great. However, i would say that the hotel and rooms look a bit old and worn. The location is good as it is easy to get anywhere. There are small things which are great (such as having converters already in the room) but other things are a bit annoying: such as the safe in the room is not big enough to fit a laptop, the lounge does not have a toilet (you have to use the disabled toilet on the other side of the floor), everything is just a bit small. However, the food and breakfast in the lounge was very good (I highly recommend the pancakes for breakfast ...).
"convenient in the middle of the city"
lobby is really nice, so is the executive lounge. the room was a bit "so-so" renaissance is slightly better in terms of room layout though. rather nice still. shopping and meetings are easy! the hotels and shopping malls around provide a really good selections of food! all good!
"Personal 1 week stay"
This is a top very well located hotel atop a world class busy mall. The guest rooms are a little tired in need of refurbishment and the addition of updated technology particularly in energy conservation. The public areas are tops and there are plenty of places to eat and drink. However they are quite pricey, and the service is somewhat brusque....typically "Hong Kong". In close proximity is a wide variety of eating joints....a very good selection. Service is good, but the standard of English is deteriorating as it is in the whole of Hong Kong. There is ample opportunity for walking adventures....scenic and exercise-wise
"Good - but didn't knock my socks off"
By name I expected a lot however I felt the rooms showed signs of aging. As a business traveller I liked how they include travel chargers and USB inbuilt charger. No powerpoints near the bed though. Room itself is nicely appointed and toiletries good but not very scented. I was surprised to get 2 large 770ml water bottles rather than smaller ones. They're quite huge to carry around. $40HKD from HK Airport station. By MTR, exit at pacific place for a direct access to basement of JW Marriott. 10 mins walk to central and to Wan chai. Breakfast costs $360HKD approx if not included in rate. I felt the renaissance HK Harbourview has a much stronger appeal to me and conditions kept better. At $500SGD approx a night you can take your pick.
