The Mercure hotel Ouarzazate is ideally located in the city centre, just 10 minutes from the airport, and stands on a superb place in a valley that overlooks the mountains of the atlas, providing a splendid landscape.

Stayed for two nights. Location is fairly central. Had previously read reviews of the hotel so were not expecting a great experience. Staff were generally pleasant and helpful. Room was small but better than expecting. Bathroom needing some attention to get in back up to scratch. Only had two small bath towels in the bathroom. On asking for two hand towels were advised by the manager that all Ibis Hotels only provide two bath towels and one hand towel. Still waiting to see a hand towel but we did receive a bath mat! Breakfast basic. Did not have dinner in hotel as there are a number of very good restaurants in Ouarzazate. We were disturbed at night by loud music from a nearby club but to be fair to hotel that is outwith their control. I have to say the price was very cheap and I suppose you get what you pay for. Can't imagine ever booking an Ibis Hotel in the future. I think they are letting the Accor brand down. Ouarzazate was lovely and we had a couple of active days viewing the various sites in the area.
"Small clean room, nice hotel"
Visited here as part of a tour group in December 2016. There's nothing around this hotel, but it is next to another hotel, since this was a stopping point to our next destination. It was a clean hotel. Rooms are small, but didn't expect much for a one night stay. We had dinner at the hotel as well and it was delicious. There wouldn't be anywhere else you could eat if you didn't dine at the hotel. Overall this hotel did a good job for a one night stay.
"Too many negatives"
We'll remember it by the tiniest sliver of soap we've seen for a long time. There was no room safe, hairdryer, coffee maker or hand towels. We had to share the single glass provided. The bathroom was both tiny and dirty. The unit was so small that it felt like being in a camper van - it was hot and stuffy. On the plus side the location was good with a nearby shopping centre.
This hotel is certainly far from the worst place I've stayed, but it's way past due for an update. The rooms were quite small and our bathroom had mold growing in it. However, the beds were comfortable. The breakfast buffet was limited and the food at dinner was not particularly good. The staff was very nice and helpful. Although there were no hairdryers in the rooms, we were able to borrow one from the front desk.
"Nothing special with rather small rooms"
We stayed here for one night during a tour of Morocco. It is located only a few minutes from a shopping area which includes a supermarket. There is a pool, free Wi-Fi, lifts to all floors and an internet point in the lobby. We had room 127 which was rather small making it a struggle to find floor space for our second suitcase. The room had twin beds, a desk & chair and a small window. It had A/C but this was either switched off or not working and we had to sleep with the window open to keep cool. The bathroom was small and compact with a dbl shower cubicle but no bath. Dinner was buffet style with soup and various cold salads as starters, main dishes were fish, chicken and a lamb dish that was nothing but bones. Two types of hot vegetables were also available. Sweet consisted of Chocolate mousse, 3 different small cakes and fruit. The soup was clay cold and only the chicken appealed to me as a main dish. I rated what was on offer as only fair. Breakfast was also a buffet with cereal, fruit juice, yogurt, pastries, cheese, 2 types of sliced meats and HB eggs. There was no hot food available. It was an improvement on the dinner but only marginally so. As ever in Morocco the staff couldn't have been more friendly or helpful but the hotel itself was no great shakes. One night was quite enough.
