"Thank you to Anders Mac"
Your employee Anders Mac, luggage attendant is a great asset to the Westin and any people oriented organization. He went above and beyond what would have been expected of the best staff member. He made us feel greatly appreciated for choosing The Westin and sent to our room a lovely gift. WOW....An amazing young man! All The Westin staff members were exceptional but, Anders is unforgettable to us! Thank you, Mike and Vickie
"Average for a Westin, mysterious mini-bar charges"
The room is spacious and generally clean. I stayed multiple times and during my last stay, the hotel seemed chintzy with the amenities. They provided ONE hand towel instead of the usual 2-3 and ONE coffee pack. Beware of the mini bar charges! The final folio that was sent to me a few hours after check-out had a mysterious mini-bar charge that was not in the folio I got during check-out. Not sure why that was tacked on as I didn't take anything from the mini-bar. Overall, not the best Westin experience. If you're looking for top notch Westin experience, skip this hotel.
"Conveniently located Westin SF"
Located between Market and Mission Streets in San Francisco's SOMA district the hotel is just blocks to tourist hot spots like Union Square as well as business friendly locations like the Moscone Convention Center and Financial District. The property is clean, well run and the rooms are consistent with what one expects from the Westin hotel brand. I would strongly recommend this as a location to be considered for either tourist or business traveler.
"an employee made this a great stay!"
Julia, at the front desk was extremely attentive making this a great stay! First experience was not great, bad employee attitude, until she took a lead position and turned the negative into positive. Valet outside was very good.....several defective electrical outlets in room. Hope i see Julia on my next visit...it will make me come back.....Steven/nyc
"Make your own food plans if you think you will arrive after 10:15"
Overall like the hotel. But its room service and the hotel bar stops serving food at 10:30pm. Thats unusual for a major hotel in a major city given that I have stayed at less well known brands in suburbs and be guaranteed service till midnight. Not unusual for you to arrive on a work trip on a flight that arrives at 9:30pm to get to your room by 10:30pm to realize there is no food. There is a 25 hour Subway across the street. But the hotel front desk don't tell you that and all encourage you with flyers to order from places that take 45 minutes to deliver. As a hotel, if you don't serve food, the staff should certainly have accurate information on where the quickest options available are
