"Very nice hotel."

Had a blast in San fransico . The hotel is very nice, but couldn't take a bath because the stopped was broken. One small thing but over all, I would stay there again . We were lucky to have made our reservations prior to the Giants being in the World Series !

"Pleasant staff and close to Moscone Center"

This hotel, like most other Westin Hotels, was clean and had a friendly staff. It was located close to the Moscone Center and Yerba Buena gardens as well as the Montgomery BART station. The only downside is that room service cuts off at 10:30 or 11pm.

"Great location, service let down"

I recently stayed here for 5 nights during the Dreamforce conference. I will say the location is superb for any conference/San Fran event. My stay did start with an unsettling event that I'm not sure anyone understood how bad it truly was. I checked in late coming from the East Coast. Room looked good, basically went to bed immediately. Woke up after a couple hours and the pillow smelled funny. Tossed it to the side and the next pillow smelled funny. Tossed that to the side and went back to sleep. Woke up at 3am and my shirt was slightly wet. Jumped out of bed and pulled back the covers and mattress pad-the mattress was soaked with a 3 foot ring of horrible smelling urine. It had come up through the sheets as my body put pressure on it. I called down to the desk asking to change rooms. Room was changed after a half hour. Showered and had trouble falling back asleep. The next day a Manager called to check on me, I described what happened. I asked for my clothes to be washed, they agreed to pay for that. They sent me a fruit basket and apologized. I don't think it's on the customer to have to yell and scream to make something right. There was never a thought to comp my first night' The mattress and pillows were covered in a LOT of urine, no one figured that out when prepping the room' I was busy all week so just went on my way. Of course checking out 5 days later the laundry was charged to my room and I had to stop by the desk to take the charge off. I think someone peed on the bed on purpose/urine doesn't smell that bad. I hope the bed was destroyed.

"Good place to stay"

Great Location on the famous lively Market Street ,, Nice lobby and crowded all the time ,, quick access to Macys ,, good resturants near by ,, clean room ,, good room size ,, the price too high I think it doesn't worth this price ,, the valet service is costly ..

"Above Average Location/Average Hotel"

As other reviews have stated, the location is great. F train to the Ferry Building and Pier is on the corner, BART a short stroll. Restaurants, stores and parks are all around, but the hotel itself is just your average high-rise hotel. After reading reviews on this website about getting a room far away from the elevators, I asked weeks in advance for a room away from the elevator and ice machine since we would be there for 5 nights. When we arrived we went to our room only to find the ice machine right outside our door. A hotel staff member that was in the hall, suggested we go downstairs and ask for another room because the entire floor would be using that ice machine. We went back down explained our request to another desk clerk and was sent to another floor and room only to find we were placed in a room that was closest to the elevator. We were tired from traveling and decided to just take it. Since the electrical room was nearby, it buzzed loudly the entire time, drowning out the noise from the elevator. However, it did not drown out any noise from the room next door. One night I was asleep with ear plugs in and we heard the guests next door come in at 2:30 am talking, vomiting, and phones ringing. The walls are really thin. Upon check out we were charged every day for the mini bar but used nothing. Moving items around in the refrigerator to place our own drinks caused the charges. Watch your billing statement. Next time I'm in San Francisco I would like to stay in the same area but at a hotel with a little more character and thicker walls.
