"Don't expect Marriott standards."
Stayed here for several nights on business. I was a bit surprised to find I'd have to pay for parking when the sign outside says parking is complimentary. Even more surprised to get a 'parking charge notice' through the post a few days later. There is clearly no understanding of hospitality here. Not really surprised as I found staff on the desk were unfriendly and just going through the motions. It doesn't help that several have poor English. I also had trouble with bookings. They lost one completely and they didn't seem to care. I was lucky they still had a room that night. I've used a lot of Marriott's in the past and not had these problems. This one is not up to their standards, so be warned if you are expecting Marriott standards.
The girls on reception and breakfast staff are so professional and helpful... that's where the fun ends.... Parking.... nightmare!!! Rooms.... freezing!!! Lifts.... a one legged man wearing a rollerblade could get up the the stairs with suitcases quicker than the lifts! Showers.... an ant having a wee would get you wetter! Go to the ibis next door, it's cheaper and more comfy! Nice try... but no!
"Uncomplicated & well presented"
We really enjoyed our quick visit to the AC. Well placed to stroll into the Quays. Easy for the tram for the city centre. The rooms are clean and fresh; not plush like a full service Marriott however equally comfortable and functional. Breakfast was spot on. Hot and cold buffet, nice coffee, nice fresh fruit. The most important observation, all the staff at the hotel were polite, courteous and helpful, we were made to feel (deliberately or otherwise) that our custom was important.
"Single night business stay"
Stayed for a single night - the car park looked full at 9:45PM but just managed to find a space. On checking in I was told parking was chargeable at £7 and they had no early breakfast option before 6:30. Wi-fi was however free. The room was of a really good standard with tea and coffee making facilities, a large bed and large flat TV screen. Breakfast was ready at 6:30 prompt with what seemed to be a limited range of hot buffet options (it's not quite a full English). Staff were pleasant if not friendly
We had a room booked for Day Use (9-5) and the room was very lovely, clean, welcoming and lots of light in the room. I loved the big windows, I also loved that the TV had YouTube and good internet connection. I really like that it has a modern clean feel as soon as you enter. There was also free parking all you had to do was let the front desk know your number plate. The lobby is really nice I couldn't find any thing I didn't like about this place. Based on day use I'd definitely spend the night here. It's also close to Trafford centre and on the Quays. This might be a weird thing but I love that they had hot chocolate in the room because usually everywhere only has tea/coffee. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I think the hotel has other facilities, however I wasn't sure if they were included with day use.
