AC Milano is located in the financial center of Milan, just steps away from the Garibaldi station, the Teatro Alla Scala, the Cimitero Monumental and Corso Como, the street of design in Milan.
Excellent sous tous rapports. Personnel hyper sympa.Comment of D. Christian , Belgium the 2015-02-24
"Good hotel, convenient location but does not go above and beyond"
This hotel is fully connected to Porta Garibaldi railway station via pedestrian underpass which means you can take a train from the airport straight to the hotel without worrying about rain or changing trains and also connected to the subways. Look for the "via Ferrari" exit which initially looks like a long scary tunnel, but don't worry, it will get you to the AC Hotel! I also loved that this hotel is near Corso Como and Porta Nouva which is the modern side of Milan. The view of Bosco Verticale on the walk there was amazing. The hotel service was relatively neutral, not quite a warm welcome. Check in took a while because the reception staff was on the phone with another customer. The room was a good size and modern but poorly equipped. It was pretty much just a bed and empty cabinets. There was no kettle, minimal toiletries and lacking in electrical power outlets and not enough lighting. The room was great during the day as it had big windows but during the night, it was too dark as there were not enough lights in the room. The room was kept very clean and is very well maintained. Bedding was decent. However, we had a room on the second floor and it was very noisy! You hear the cars, the church bells, the rubbish trucks... everything! I guess it's a good alarm clock every morning.
"excellent service: friendly front desk and helpful staff"
We had a very nice room, actually larger than expected for a hotel in Italy where the rooms are normally quite small. The bathroom was large as well--everything VERY clean.. I tend to opt for an upgraded room when possible, I have found, in my many travels, that a small upgrade is well worthwhile. It was VERY hot while we were there, but the air conditioning was excellent. The hotel is near the train station which can be a positive, unless you need to be on the other side of town-then you can take a taxi that the hotel will call for you or Uber. . Wifi worked really well, breakfast, if not included in your price, is on the expensive side, so go for a walk and get a cafe' and cornetto at a local "bar" Nonetheless, it was a great choice. Corso Como is less than a 10 minute walk away with a very wide, pedestrian shopping and dining area, nice place to spend the evening. Wouldn't hesitate to spend another night or 2 here when in Milan.
"Solid hotel, great rooms"
Located north of city center with quick cab to town. Very clean, comfortable beds, modern showers, very good breakfast with lots of choices. Front desk staff were superior and eager to answer questions to make our visit pleasant. The Garibaldi train station is a 5 minute walk to the hotel which makes the express train from Malpensa airport so convenient.
"Solid hotel in Milan"
I stayed here recently on a quick trip to Milan and it was a really solid hotel (part of the Marriott chain). It was very clean and the staff was very nice. It's pretty conveniently located in town, about a 10 minute cab ride from the Milano Centrale train station. It's also located right on a metro stop and it was only 1 train transfer from that metro station to MXP Airport. It had more of a feel of a business hotel. The breakfast they served in the morning was great. As a side note, I also came across a quaint little neighborhood about a 10 minute walk north of the hotel near the Blue Note Milano with plenty of restaurants and bars. That area had a very local feel to it.
"One of the best hotel staff"
It was a great experience to stay at this hotel. It has a great location with a train by the door steps and a 3 trams on the corner. The front desk was truly amazing, Laura and Andres was one of the best hotel staff I ever met. They helped me with train schedules to Verona , Lake como and the local area. They naturally want guests to have an amazing time and fall in love with the city and I did just that. I can't thank them enough. I have always wanted to see the last supper. It was booked out for 6 months. Laura gave me a tip that sometimes, just sometimes, if you show up at 7 am they will try to squeeze you in if cancelations occur. She made it happen for me. I would not have done that on my own The staff was beyond helpful in every way. So thank you AC Milano & your lovely for allowing me to have such a ***** star experience in Milan.
