Excellent sous tous rapports. Personnel hyper sympa.Comment of D. Christian , Belgium the 2015-02-24
I went to this hotel in December. The hotel looked okay but the staff seemed to have poor service. First of all, I went to the room and found no slippers or shower gowns. I called to ask for those items. What I got were shower gels and one pair of slippers. Then I asked for an outlet converter. I went downstairs by the front desk to ask and the staff showed me a box of outlets that past visitors forgot to take. I found one that could work, and the staff started saying that this would not work and the hotel sells one for 12 euros. I went up to the room, called again in about 30 minutes to recheck if that converter would work. The staff repeatedly said that the converter would not work and we will have to get a new one for 12 euros. I just asked if I could then try using it, and if the converter doesn't work, we would return it. The converter worked perfectly. The location is not that great either. If you want to explore chinatown or Eataly area, then this could be okay. But it's a bit far away from main attractions.
"Convenient for the Garibaldi train station"
We needed a convenient hotel near to the Garibaldi train station and this did not disappoint. It is walkable to the centre of Milan from this hotel, but takes about half an hour. What is close by is the nice pedestrianized Corso Como street that has many places to eat and drink, which was very handy for us. The hotel itself was adequate with a decent sized room, although it didn't appear that clean.
Pro: Very attentive staff, large, clean rooms, breakfast with a good variety, underground station 2-5 min. away Con: Egg dishes at the breakfast only at an extra charge, noise level at the rooms on the first floor can be loud during aperitivo hours, no spa area
For what’s supposed to be a 4-star hotel, lots of issues. No iron available. Have to use a special “ironing room” in the basement. Felt like I was living in a boarding house. No tissues in the bathroom. Gym was freezing. Bed not particularly comfortable. Rough sheets and hard pillows. Wouldn’t choose to stay here again.
"Reasonable hotel, but bed and shower not great"
Reasonable hotel for a night. Central location. What I did not like was the shower in the bath. Not much water flow. Bed is quite hard and walls are thin so you will hear what neighbors are doing. Service at reception ok. Breakfast buffet quite good, but please do not say you serve fresh orange juice if it clearly is a diluted, high calory surrogate.
