2 night, business trip. Room clean and modern furniture. Located along a road with a lot of traffic. Internal restaurant with service 24h/24 with essential menu (not in line with the Marriot). Internal parking (expensive) similar to lair of moles...
"An outstanding hotel committed to service..."
We travel a lot relatively speaking and sometimes you feel jaded about the "hospitality business". It all seems to blend in together. Sameness, just a different city or country. This place is different. Has the Marriott name attached to it so maybe that has something to do with it' From the moment we arrived in the early morning hours (flight, car rental and location issues) we were made to feel welcome. Jason was excellent. Prompt, efficient, kind, helpful.. The room was outstanding - clean, with everything you needed including a bar fridge. Excellent bed. The bath tub was small and may not appeal to larger people. No coffee, no problem - they'll get you some! All staff we encountered including the night cleaner and the room attendants greeted you. They have an excellent restaurant and the bar was opened till late. Close to the magical Gran Via with its many unique stores, shops, restaurants and the like... 20 minute walk to Placa D'Espana and all the activity there.. A great 2 night stay.
This is a second stay. Outstanding hotel. Exceptional bar and restaurant. Room was extremely clean and well maintained. Very quiet and just across the street from a large mall. Plenty of cafes and restaurants
"Nice hotel "
Nice, clean, comfortable (by slightly compact) rooms. The bath was so tiny I’m not sure why they bothered and didn’t just put a shower cubicle. The breakfast was good and staff friendly. It’s very close to the convention centre but a surprisingly long walk because the entrance is the car opposite end from where the hotel is (so whilst you can see the place next door from your room it’s a good 15min walk).
"Nice Hotel, Modern & Clean, Bad guests!"
Nice Hotel! Very clean, modern and new. My stay was enjoyable for the most part and I do not know how it could really be improved. I found many of the other guests at the hotel to be people that I did not want to be near. I believe that they were from Japan. They were very loud and always filling the small lobby. When we were checking out and your front desk clerk was helping us, one woman kept trying to "push" her way in front of us and give her key card to the clerk. I do not like being "physically pushed". The same people would mill around in the small lobby and by the elevator making it difficult to move within the hotel. In the evening when we got off the elevator these people from Japan would not move to let us leave the elevator and go to dinner. We nicely asked them to allow us to pass in English, Spanish and French. They would not let us through. Finally I had to put my arm out and start gently pushing my through the crowd. At the breakfast buffet the same people went up and down the table touching and squeezing all of the breads and other items. I do not want to eat items that other people have been foundling. As we were making coffee (two cups, one for each of us) a man came up and tried to push his way in front of me to get a cup of coffee before we were finished. Not something that I like or want to deal with.
