"Little hard to find but worth it"
Very modern hotel near a large mall on way to airport. This hotel is very nice with a very attentive staff. The hotel is very clean and quiet. You can walk to the mall and dine in an excellent Spanish restaurant named El Boliche.
"Very comfortable, convenient to airport via Bus 46"
Staff was very competent and kind. Room was nice with a very comfortable reading chair, desk, pretty nice pillows. Amenities are nice. A bit out of the way but there is frequent service via train or bus to to center city. The train takes you to Plaza Espanya in about 10 or 15 minutes. Bus to airport took 30 minutes door to door but could be longer in traffic. It runs approximately every 5 minutes. There are also many busses into town. There are quite a few restaurants within a couple blocks but the area is commercial, not charming like the Gothic area or L'Eixample.
"A cool place to stay"
This is a nice place to stay if you are travelling on a budget. Low cost, but you get a clean room, comfortable bed, nice bathroom and shower. Yes, it is a bit small, but you should be exploring anyway! You have a choice of a king size bed or 2 double beds. Take note so you can plan accordingly. We paid about $85 for one night and it worked perfectly. Good, friendly staff and nice bar.
"remote and over priced"
We used an online booking to book a room at Barcelona SANTS ( train station) as we had a long flight back to Australia next day and wanted to see the immediate Sants area. On the day we turned up to be told wrong hotel and we were at SOM. so a 26 Euro taxi ride entailed and we booked in, the area is desolate and remote from Barcelona Central area so if any one is travelling like us best not to stay here. There is a shopping centre nearby but that is it. The room was ok but shower looked unclean but two single beds put together made the double, being on wheels we ended up separate anyway. There is no coffee or tea making facility in the room (and for the price a rather basic commodity) so we assumed the staff must be well paid. had we known it was in the middle of nowhere we would have paid extra to stay at a different chain. due to the location we had to get a taxi to the airport as to get to a train station was not viable with luggage so a further 26 euros, we found one cafe next morning and ate breakfast outside as the hotel breakfast did not look worth the expense ( for us being vegetarian) . It was our first in a Marriott and probably the last.
The walls are so thin you can hear a conversation in the next room and hear a person sneeze in the other next room. The breakfast is not included and was not worth the price. There is a funky sewer smell outside the hotel.
