"Good sized room in good location"
Organised a triple occupancy room for a girls weekend. 1 bedroom apartment with rollaway bed had plenty of room for the three of us. We were at the back of the building so limited traffic/train/tram noise (although the construction workers were out early on the Monday morning). Bed was a tad soft for my liking but not sagging. Water pressure in the shower was really low and was probably the only negative regarding the room. Reception staff very friendly and efficient, always a bonus when hospitality staff understand the meaning of hospitality
"Beware of Noisy Fellow Guests"
Whilst centrally located between Southern Cross Station, Etihad Stadium, Crown Casino, the Docklands and the CBD and reasonably priced there are definite issues with this property. Firstly, the walls between rooms seem to be paper-thin. Doors closing on other rooms send vibrations through your bed and other guests' conversations are easily heard. Avoid a room near the lifts as every time someone presses the lift button to another floor several annoying buzzes ring out loud enough to wake you. We had continual issues with the card keys. They wouldn't open the after hours' door, or register in the lift or open the room door requiring constant replacement. It must be common place because the reception, without asking, instinctively accompanied us to the life or room without asking. Reception Staff were very friendly but regularly not attending the front counter but in the rear office. Rooms were tidy, beds comfortable with basic kitchen facilities. Wifi was extremely slow and accessing it came with unnecessarily complicated instructions. One suspects the slowness was deliberate as various paid packages were prominently promoted. Frankly, if you can find a comparable or better option it would be my recommendation to go with it.
Excellent large apartment with a good kitchen. It could benefit from some additional cooking equipmen . Clean, spacious bathroom, Huge comfortable bed. Good location close to trams and station. Very friendly staff.
"Good value for money - but hot water problems"
The hotel is value for money and the rooms are clean and comfortable. However, it was very difficult to get the water temp. correct in the shower - it was either very hot or very cold. This was not an issue in winter but in summer could be a real challenge.
Our stay at the Adina was excellent. We found the staff to be very helpful and the facilities excellent. The hotel is very near transport and and other Melbourne sights. I would certainly recommend it as a good place to stay.
