"Amazing view and worth it!"
This is a beautiful, modern hotel with an incredible view. Would definitely recommend the rooms overlooking the lake and mountains- the view is like a postcard. Rooms are spacious, well cleaned, and have the basic things you need. Breakfast is included (they didn't mention that!) and they have a nice spread. Pool is great and heated (I think the hot tub is extra). Great location that's ideal if you have a car. Enjoy!!
Wonderful setting on the lake Terrific spa and massage Was a short drive to the ski area Only issues were no Salmon at breakfast and no private van to the ski area Otherwise our stay was a delight Rooms were large and comfortable
"Stranded in Bariloche"
Due to multiple flight cancellations by the airlines, we were stranded in Bariloche and needed a hotel room near the airport. As the airlines had provided us with voucher previously for this hotel and we had stayed there already for the 2 previous nights, we booked and paid for 2 hotel rooms utilizing tripadvisor but upon arrival to the hotel, we were told the hotel was fully booked and had no record of our reservation. We showed them our email confirmation number but were told us they had no rooms. After about an hour of aggravating discussions, they finally offered us the rooms we previously had checked out of, one of them not cleaned but since we were desperate for a pace to sleep, we took the uncleaned room so we can at least have a bed. The hotel really treated us poorly and therefore one should beware and know that just because you book on tripadvisor and get a confirmation, this does not guarantee a room will be waiting for you....
"Five star worthy!"
Loved every minute inside the hotel! Gorgeously designed, comfortable, surrounded by amazing views... even with a street view room I was lucky enough to face the hills covered in white! Room was big, with a comfortable bed also big enough for my 6'5 partner. Breakfast was great, delicious pastries (specially the cheese cones) accompanied by friendly staff and nice ambient music... and unique views from the lake and mountains. Front desk staff was always friendly, warm and helpful. Terra Restaurant had delicious gourmet choices, fair price with great wine selections, from the cheaper to the priciest. Pool was nice, I was unfortunate to encounter some badly behaved children who dangerously jumped into the water non stop and I couldn't relax for longer... I thought the water was a bit chilly also. It's very close to the town center, but it's only downside is that the sidewalk isn't made of concrete and after snow or rain the ground turns into a slippery mud (without appropriate boots I'd surely have slipped many times). If the sidewalks were fixed I'd give this hotel a paradise on earth status!
"Excellent location, wonderful views"
A very modern, new hotel, a few blocks from the heart of the city center and well within walking distance to a number of restaurants. The HAVANNA chocolate factory/museum is across the road. The Alma del Lago is located on the Nahuel Huapi lake, with a number of rooms facing the lake and mountains. Our Junior Suite had a large double bed and a sitting area with two armchairs and a little table. The bathroom is on the large size, with a separate shower and bath and a door between the toilet and hand-wash basin area. The usual amenities and large fluffy towels as well as bath-droves are provided. Breakfast offers a good variety of cakes and breads and an excellent omelette and egg and sausage section. Waitresses top up coffee when requested. The best part of the hotel, only second to the wonderful views from the foyer and balcony, is the indoor pool; a must in winter months. Highly recommended.
