"Perfect stay hotel"
It was a fantastic stay at the ALVEAR ART HOTEL , the room was extremely generous , spacious and comfortable . It had a heating floor at the bathroom . The service of the hotel in general was spectacular. The location is very good , very easy to move to different places of Buenos Aires and attractions . The only issue that could be improved : it is the breakfast . It is extremely simple : same fruit choices everyday is not good , you should vary them . Please offer eggs at customer's choice , as it is very boring the same soft scrambled eggs everyday . These suggestions are extremely respectful , in order to make more attractive your great hotel. The indoor heated swimming pool at the top floor is magnificent , it has a beautiful view scenery .
"Luxury business hotel with guest dedicated staff"
Stayed at the Alvear during our Buenos Aires visit. For any vacation we spend a lot of time researching where to stay based on our high expectations. The Alvear proved that they could live up to those standards. Prior to arrival we have several email correspondences about our stay and needs. They assisted with each one of our requests. The staff was very helpful during out entire stay. The rooms are generous for European standards and normal size for American. They have higher end décor. Breakfast was a buffet with lots of choices for both hot and cold options. You could upgrade to an omelet for an additional cost. In the evening they have happy hour at the bar where you can get small bits & a drink or two for one drinks at a price of 300 pesos. We were able to walk to locate attractions and shopping. Buenos Aires is very large so you can't walk to many attractions you will need public transportation to get to the majority. If you use the taxi only use small bills and determine the price before getting in the cab. Alvear, is more a business hotel than a tourist hotel. As in the other South American countries we visited during our trip, outside of the hotel, the high end shopping mall and a few restaurants, English is not common be aware of that. Look to the hotel to help in this area for restaurants selection or shopping options. Prior to going I would suggest understanding how to convert currency either at the bank / currency exchange. or on the sidewalk with local. They are the people in the tourist areas yelling "cambio" which means change. They want US dollars and sometimes it is better to convert with them but you need to be fluent in Spanish and understand the process. They are looking to scam Americans. They are not always the best options so check the rates before you proceed. It is a very comfortable hotel with lovely staff that are always willing to help.
"High Rise cute and Quaint! "
Center location for getting around town easily. Clean high rise hotel very cute and quaint! Cozy for a nice coffee and empanada at hotel restaurant, great buffet breakfast! Will exchange currency for you, friendly service and helpful staff! Having a nice bottle of red is a plus!!
A good 5 star hotel in good location, felt very safe. Some restaurants close by and walking distance to the Ave de Julio. Rooms were large, clean and very comfortable. Staff were great. They supplied a good buffet breakfast and we loved the happy hour in the bar every evening. Wifi worked well.
"Comfortable Luxury in the Heart of Buenos Aires"
This is my go-to hotel when I am in town for business. It is located in a great area of the city within walking distance of Plaza San Martin. The accommodations are quite nice and spacious and are stocked with plenty of amenities including a Nespresso machine! All the staff speaks English which is helpful when you are coming in from out of town and failed Spanish classes :-) The breakfast is one of the best in BsAs. If you know Argentina, you know most places are stocked with medialunas and bread galore. This buffet gives you great healthy options, along with plenty of medialunas! I am always pleased with the concierge desk that can accommodate my last minute dinner reservations request. My only advice is ask for an iron and ironing board when you check in as they are not in the rooms.
