"Nice Hotel close to Peace Park"
This Hotel is within 5 minutes to the Peace Park and the Atomic Bomb Site. The Hiroshima Castle is 15 minutes walk away frim the Hotel. You can walk to the covered Mall within 5 minutes of the Hotel. It takes 15 minutes from Hiroshima Station by the Tram. Cost 160 yen per person for the Tram. There is a Bus Station about 10 minutes walk from the Hotel to take you to the Airport. You can get a Day Pass for the Tram and Ferry to take you to the Island and can use all day for 840 yen per person. The rooms are very large compared to other Hotels in Japan. The breakfast is expensive and can get cheaper outside.
"Very small rooms and beware the additions."
We stayed in 2 identical rooms for 2 nights. I will start with the positives. The rooms were clean and the beds and pillows were comfortable. A lovely sleep package is provided including bath salts, eye warmers and a selection of teas which is complimentary. No complimentary water though. We were given adjacent rooms on the 19th floor which was non-smoking and had free wifi. The location of the hotel was excellent. Short walk to the Peace Park, museum and memorials, shopping, some excellent restaurants and very importantly Starbucks. The tram cars and subway all near by. Hiroshima is a very beautiful city and very easy to walk around and navigate. Mostly flat. We easily walked from Hiroshima castle to the hotel. The negatives include: The kettle leaked and the hairdryer was on it's last legs. I could blow hot air faster. I think the hotel reception staff have also been instructed to revenue raise. The ploy of the hotel is to greet you with "your beds are tiny but we can upgrade you if you are willing to pay and today I can do it for you for....". Not really what you want to hear as a welcome. This was then followed up with if you pay now we can give you the breakfast at a discounted rate of 2100 yen pp. Mate, that is not a discount, especially if you do not eat much for breakfast. My whole family of 4 spent that around the corner for breakfast. It was done as I was checking in, and the same said to another person checking in at the same time. We both had the same response of "we need to see the room first". The bed size was fine. It is the room that is tiny. No space at all for luggage. Ending up needing to use up the TV and desk space. Still 2 people could not walk past the bed without someone having to get on the bed. However for the amount of time actually spent in the room it was ok/survivable. Also the toilet is incredibly noisy. Everyone knows you are on the toilet. This is frustrating when your partner is asleep. No need for the disguising music LOL! At least the seat warmer worked. Would probably stay elsewhere next time.
"Perfect location, great breakfast"
The hotel is in a great location for exploring Hiroshima, with only a 5 minute walk to the Peace Park area. There is a tram stop conviently located around the corner as well if you want to go further afield. Rooms were good. Breakfast was brilliant, lots of choice. Best breakfast we had had in Japan so far. Staff were all friendly and helpful.
Perfect location as we wanted to visit the Peace Museum and Memorial Park. Access from the train station was very easy via the Maple Loop Tourist Bus, which was covered by our JR Rail Pass. Our room was perfect and very comfortable, with wonderful views. Staff were friendly and very helpful. An extra bonus was that we had booked a Club room, which granted access to the Club Lounge for complimentary happy hour, drinks and snacks plus a light breakfast. Was fantastic to relax in this peaceful environment. Would recommend to family and friends.
"Nice hotel with good location"
This hotel is located at an excellent location on the corner of the peace boulevard. The hotel has nice rooms and public areas. We enjoyed a nice diner and breakfast, with lovely view from 22nd floor.
