"Gem in the jungle!"
It was our first time in Siem Reap, the land of wonder! We were impressed by the great hospitality from all resort's staff there. The main restaurant provides a great breakfast and the swimming is one of the best we used to encountered.
"Very peaceful botanical gardens!"
Great place to stay when visiting Angkor Wat - it's about 10mins by Tuk Tuk to the main entrance, but it's far enough away from too much hustle and bustle and you have everything you need at the hotel. There's a lagoon pool which comfy double beds you can relax on - would definitely recommend a pool-facing room. Good shout to order room service to the pool - can recommend the burger. Great spa treatments too (although a bit on the pricey side) and lovely views for breakfast - really friendly staff.
Left a lot to be desired. On arrival informed we had been upgraded to a superior room free of charge. Room was not an upgrade and windows to pool opened on a mud patch. No wi-fi in rooms! Food poor. Decor which was all dark mahogany created a funereal The Pavillion. They have a sister hotel in Siem Reap. Wi atmosphere. Staff appeared slightly depressed and mechanical. A sharp contrast to our previous hotel in Phnom Penh- the Pavillion. The have a sister hotel in Siem Reap. Wish we had stayed there - Temptation
Really stunning hotel with lush landscaping. Perfect spot to relax after cycling through the temples at Angkor Wat in the summer heat. The staff are very helpful and the location is quiet, between the main city of Siam Reap and the temples. The massages were excellent and very reasonably priced. Our kids loved the pool and gardens. Incredible breakfast spread.
"OUT OF THIS WORLD SERVICE!"
This exceptional hotel is hidden away from the madness of Siem Reap, only a $3 tuk tuk ride away from Pub Street, photos do not do the hotel justice - it is breathtaking. We arrived at the hotel to a fabulous welcome, after a 5 hour drive from Phnom Pehn welcome drink and towels accompanied an incredibly friendly and organised check-in.I assumed that they took a photo for security purposes, but I wont spoil the surprise... The hotel is set amongst gorgeous tropical grounds. The hotel reception, bar and restaurant are not enclosed and extremely atmospheric at night or during a storm. The pool is most unusual, narrow but virtually the full length of the site so every room ends up being poolside. The food, drinks and service were all above par and pretty much faultless. On returning to Phnom Penh I discovered that I'd left my iPad and passport in the safe at Angkor Village Resort, I called the hotel only to discover that an incredible well packaged parcel was at Siem Reap bus station with a courier awaiting my instructions, the package containing my passport and iPad arrived at my hotel room door in Phnom Penh at 8am the following morning, at no cost to myself, that is the MOST EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE I've ever experienced in a hotel. This is beautiful hotel in stunning grounds with an unbelievable pool, but it is the incredible service and friendliness of the entire staff which makes a stay here so very pleasant.
