"good choice to stay in Moscow.."
Its a nice fairly new business hotel located very close to the city center. Situated as part of a residential complex, its well planned and nicely laid out. You can reach the nearest metro station (Novokuznetskaya) in 5 mins, from where you can access the green, orange and yellow lines. The metro station is really live and gives you lot of options for food to try out. The Red Square is about half an hour by foot, walking at a leisurely pace. Rooms are nice, moderate size, clean and well ventilated. However, it is a NON SMOKING hotel. Be aware of this while making your booking. The reception staff requires special mention. All of them are fluent in English and always ready to help. Special mention of Ms. Marina, who helped us with directions and some good suggestions of night clubs and other places to check out. Also, the hotel cab guy, who was on time to pick us up from the Sapsan and later helped us pick up some really good local vodka brands, even with his limited English skills. And the housekeeper who dropped us chocolates to the room every day ;) Breakfast is just the usual fair and please remember that they dont provide you with water bottles in your room on a daily basis. The only bottled water quota you get is the two 500ml bottles in the room, on check in. The free wifi is good and the signal is strong. Remember to ask for a packed breakfast, in case you plan to move out before the breakfast time (ie 0700hrs). They do pack a good heavy breakfast. Also, guests have free access to the sauna which is really refreshing on a cold day.
The quality of this hotel is excellent. Clean, not fussy and high standards of service and food make this good value hotel our fist choice of stay in Moscow. We would certainly recommend the Aquamarine and would have no hesitation staying there again. Only 5 minutes walk from the nearest metro station and 10 minutes from Red Square makes for a great location.
Excellent place! Great location and service! Clean and comfortable rooms. Good food. Near you can find streets with restaurants. Compact gym, hamam and sauna. Nice SPA with different types of massages. Love this hotel. Booked twice.
"Back in the USSR"
Having previously visited pre-glasnost I was curious to see the changes in Moscow. This superb hotel was slightly off the beaten track, which made it quiet - a good thing. Very friendly and helpful staff, excellent breakfast buffet and lovely rooms. Plenty of places to eat 10 minutes walk away and Red Square can be reached in 25 minutes of brisk walking. Can highly recommend it.
"Wonderful modern hotel"
This hotel is totally impeccable! Its location is perfect, with a walking distance to the city center. The room was very nice and clean, light and rather spacious, with speedy WiFi and an ergonomic bed. We got cleaning service every day, and on my birthday I got a bottle of Champagne! Reception staff was very friendly, spoke good English and gave us a lot of useful advice about what to see and where to eat. The breakfast was really good, with a big choice of cold and warm dishes, bread and pastry. All the restaurant staff was also friendly and service-minded. I would definitely stay here again!
