Hotel is great in an excellent location very near the Charles Bridge - close enough to walk to main tourist spots but away from the noise and bustle. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Had room with lovely view over river. Room and hotel were kept clean. Style of hotel is of a more traditional style and not like the impersonal modern ones. Breakfast is buffet style with plenty of choice to suit most people. Also free soup and snacks are served from12 noon which people can help themselves to.Plenty of restaurants around to walk to for evening meals. Arranged with the hotel before we went for a car to pick us up from the airport which was there waiting for us when we arrived and also reception arranged one for us to take us back to the airport at the end of our stay - well worth the money. Prague is a lovely city to visit for short breaks, plenty to see, but need to wear comfortable footwear and especially flat shoes or boots as streets and roads are cobbled and have uneven surfaces. In conclusion we would definitely visit Prague again and would definitely stay at the Archibald at the Charles Bridge
"Quiet, clean and great location"
This boutique hotel is within walking distance of most of Prague's sites. A quiet street only 80 meters from the Charles Bridge. We had a room facing the river and views were fantastic day and night. Free wifi, great English speaking staff, and excellent breakfast buffet included. Rooms are clean, just remember it is an old building and not a Hilton. I will return.
My girlfriend and I are currently staying at the Archibald at charles bridge. I can't complain about the hotel really as it's welcoming, the staff are great and the breakfasts are pretty good. I will however say the room that we have is nothing like what's shown online. Whilst the rooms on the site you're on are within the hotel they probably haven't shown you the "smaller" rooms. The room we have, although it's nice enough, doesn't feature online. It has no view apart from the front of some other rooms in the courtyard. There's no exposed beams and the like and by comparison to the rooms featured online it's titchy. It still however isn't a "bad" room. If you book here try and get anything that isn't a standard room, it'll be worth it trust me. As I've stated the standard rooms aren't bad they're just not as good as the deluxe standards. All in all though a good hotel and positioned very centrally.
Our family of four had one amazing day in Prague! Although we arrived early (10 am) Lucie at the front desk had a spot to hold our bags & invited us to help ourselves to breakfast. We felt so welcomed! This is an awesome location. You are 1 block from the Charles bridge on a beautiful, tree lined, cobblestone street. At one point in the day, a bride was being photographed on this street. So lovely! You can drive on this street but there were not many cars. I don't think drivers know this! We walked miles that day (21,000 steps per a tracker app) to see the sights. Lucie kindly helped me with band aids for my blisters! She also gave us a wonderful dinner suggestion and made the reservation as she speaks Czech (& English). Cihelna was about a 15 min walk, has a river view and delicious food! Our room on an upper floor was spacious, updated and had a river view. Our experience was great from beginning to end! We only wish we had another day! Don't miss St.Vitus Cathedral and be sure to taste Trdelnik!
We stayed with friends at this hotel only a week ago. We enjoyed our stay very much. Our room was very nicely appointed and comfortable, albeit the bed was too hard, so softer mattresses would be nice. Our room on the first floor had a nice view and terrace. Our friend's room on the top floor looked comfortable enough, but with the mansarded walls, it looked a bit dark and claustrophobic so the lower floor rooms seem to be the best. Everything else was very good. The staff were helpful and breakfast was good, lots of choice and plenty of it. A comfy seating area with a nice fire would have been the finishing touch, but I guess room in the reception area is limited. The location is great. It is a lovely walk over the Charles bridge towards the old town, about 15 minutes low walk to the old town square. That may not be for everyone, but we loved the walk over the river,..spectacular and the area around the hotel is very pleasant and it was nice to be away from the general noise of the old town so it was a peaceful stay.
