"Ornate Hotel with Excellent Staff and Breakfast"
My husband and I spent 2 nights at the Art Deco Hotel as part of a travel package before a cruise. The hotel is situated in a vibrant downtown location with plenty of restaurants and a large upscale mall nearby. The lobby and dining area are gorgeous and ornate. Staff were friendly and helpful, and security great with a key used to activate the elevators. Our room was small but typical for European hotels. Bedding and towels were high quality, pillows HUGE, everything clean, the king bed was comfortable albeit a bit firm, and the bathroom decorated in what looked like colorful marble. The only negative was a high lipped soaker tub which could be difficult for some folks to step up and over. The hotel offered small step stools if you asked. The closet had an ironing board, and there was a small fridge. The breakfast buffet, included with the room, was amazing! Quite an assortment of meats, cheeses, fruit, cereals, pastries, etc. What a lovely hotel. I highly recommend it for stays in Prague.
"Old world with some charm"
The rooms in this hotel are larger than most I have stayed in while visiting Europe. I spent four nights in this hotel. My room was on the first floor above a very busy and loud street car line. The bathroom was equipped with a very deep bath tub which required some agility to get into and out of. A step stool would have made getting in and out of the deep tub easier. I found the doors in this hotel to be heavy and especially difficult to push open. The hotel has a very nice breakfast buffet which we did use several times, It also has an award winning dinning room for evening dinners which we did not try. The decor in the dining room was interesting. The hotel is close to the train station, Palladium shopping mall and the old town area of Prague.
This is a lovely hotel with an excellent restaurant. Rooms are large and well furnished. Toiletries are high quality. Location is very good. Lobby can get congested but there are adjacent sitting areas. Staff is very good but bartender gets a little grouchy about giving ice. Housekeeping can be a little slow but they are gracious. I would definitely return.
"Great experience with service and comfort"
I thoroughly enjoyed my experience here. It's a historic boutique style hotel that offers great service, is very comfortable, and a good value for price. Its in the heart of old town. I also used their airport car services and enjoyed a nice personal tour with introduction to some of the cities history, as well had many of my questions answered, as a female traveling alone on business. I highly recommend this hotel.
Imperial Hotel In a word - Impeccable Old world charm, lovely room treatment – Located just a few minutes away from the Old Town by foot. Walking there at night presented no problem. It is also located near the Metro (Underground) and a bus line and a tram line are on the street directly in front of the hotel. The staff could not be more accommodating. The room comes with robes and bathroom slippers. Air conditioning was perfect – no noise. Our room service food order was delivered promptly. The hotel had a shoe shine machine on every floor, but, as with many European hotels, it did not have any ice machines, however that was no problem as the bellman brought us a nice size bucket of ice on request. The hotel is beautifully appointed throughout. The hotel lives up to its name, Art Deco. The restaurant, The Imperial Café, is located in one of the most gorgeous rooms you will ever see. Essentially, it is done in tile and wood. Pictures are attached so you may judge for yourselves. Everything was first rate. The price was more than we usually pay, but the hotel is certainly worth the extra money. Our fare included a sumptuous hot breakfast buffet. More of a self-serve banquet. The food selection was outstanding, and the cold foods were located on cold trays and the hot foods were kept in heated containers. The table setting was flawless and the flatware was a delight. Not a negative thought about the Art Deco Imperial Hotel.
