We had an amazing 3 day break here we only used our room to sleep in and only got to see reception there s so much to do in amsterdam! we didn't eat any meals here as it was pricey 15 euros for breakfast if u book the evening before we got 2 breakfasts for this in the center of the dam. you have to pay a room tax ours was 11 euro for both of us, we bought rail cards from reception they was 17 euro each but we'll worth it they a God send public transport is really easy to use even when you haven't got any sense of direction and you can use them on bus train or tram, if u want to do the ann frank museum make sure you pre book tickets you can't get them out here can't beleive people have time to inspect and moan about there room who looks under the bed!!! Our room was lovely and cleaned everyday with fresh towels we will definitely use this hotel again if we come back
"Not really clean"
Cle nliness was dissapointing. Dust underneath the bed. Tray that holds sugar was dirty. The whole floor was dusty and never well cleaned during our stay. Sugar and coffee was nit replaced properly. Lots of hair in the bathroom and on the room floor
"Good clean hotel with shuttles to the centre"
The hotel itself is fine, polite reception staff and clean rooms. The shower pressure wasn’t great in our room and the body/hair wash was empty but this didn’t affect our stay. The surroundings aren’t that pretty, the hotel was a little further from the centre than I realised but the shuttle service was great at €7.50 per person for a return. We didn’t eat at the hotel so can’t comment on the food.
"Great base for Amsterdam"
My friend and I found this hotel on Booking.com, and were impressed with the photos and price for our 4 nights so we booked it. We didn't have a clue where we were going at first so booked a taxi from the airport to the hotel (which was predicted by the hotel to be 30 euros and it was 25 which was good!). We arrived late at night so we didn't see much of the area, but we wandered along to the tram stop (10 minutes walk from the hotel), which was easy to find and we felt very safe walking it, even in the dark. We bought a 72 hour tram pass for 17 euro each which turned out to be a massive saving for the amount of travelling we did on the trams. Highly recommend this option! The staff on the desk were very friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is very interesting and quirky! Food was expensive for what it was. We only ate here one night. The room was ideal for us, plenty space, nice bathroom (although not at all keen on the glass door which doesn't shut fully!). We were disappointed with the cleanliness on our following days. The room was spotless when we arrived but the cups weren't being washed, floor wasn't getting cleaned daily etc. Not a big problem, but noticeable. The beds were big, clean and comfy. We slept well. The Wi-fi was terrible, and we definitely think others must have noticed as there were a lot sitting in the reception on phones at all hours of the night, as we were, because it worked well there! Overall a very good stay, the hotel is in a nice area, and I would certainly stay here again if in Amsterdam.
Pros - - The location is excellent - Rooms are large for Individual stay, might be a bit cramped if you are more than one in a room - Restaurant serves good food Cons - - Shower Closet is quite small; difficult to move around. But, the bath rooms are big - Same breakfast menu for everyday of week. Stayed there for 5 night, and every day it was the same buffet menu. The options are ok, but you start to get bored if you have to eat the same stuff every day,
