"A lovely time in Amsterdam"
This seems like a nice modern hotel, our room was very contemporary, we had a twin bedded room with a shower and toilet, there was adequate closet space, an iron and ironing board, safe and a small fridge (which was empty, however, this would come in very handy in hot weather to keep cold drinks etc in.) as well as tea and coffee making facilities. Beds were comfortable, the room was nice and quiet and the view from our room was lovely, the only thing that spoilt it for us was the breakfast, but this is only a very small complaint.
Stayed at the Dutch Design Hotel Artemis this weekend just gone - perfect hotel. Arrived at 10.30am and the room was ready for us (did have a package holiday with Jet2 so maybe this was why it was available early) Rooms were lovely and clean, staff were really helpful - bought our transport tickets from reception 17 euros for 3 days. Hotel is 10 mins away from airport and 25 euros in a taxi which is well worth it to be dropped at the door. Had a club sandwich for lunch on the Sunday before we were leaving, food was fabaulous, gentleman who served us so friendly. Had the best time in Amsterdam and the hotel just made it amazing.
The room was dirty, the clerk in the reception was not helpful at all. The door in the bathroom is glass so if there are two of you in the room and not yet open enough with each other - forget about doing your business in private. The hotel is very far from center city, and no one in the reception couldn't tell us exactly where the tram is. We had a huge issue with the e-bike. No one knew how to make them to work. The A.C. didn't work so we slept in cold rooms - no one came to fix it. The vent in the bathroom did not work as well. Would not go there again, and would not recommend it to others.
"OK I suppose. "
Good location if working locally and only stopping one night. But a bit far from general amenities and transport links if wanting to travel to somewhere with more restaurant options. Pity about the stain on the quilt cover. Restaurant fair but maybe trying a bit too hard with its menu descriptions !
"Lovely hotel in a good location"
The hotel is really very good, friendly and helpful reception staff, big clean rooms and in a good location. The public transport system is very good and easy to use even for a novice like me who had never used public transport around a city before. To get to the tram stop is a nice 5-10 minute walk down the street, which isn't the best lit at night through one part but I never felt uneasy at any point. The tram takes about 15-20 mins to the center and is a nice ride into the city. You can get a 3 day pass from reception that allows you on all public transport for 17 euro which is a bargain, this allows you onto the night bus which stops at the same place as the tram and runs every half hour through the night after midnight. All in all I would return to this hotel if I return to Amsterdam.
