The manager at reception and the senior hostess at the restaurant Vanja were very helpful. We were able to check in prior to 3 pm which we were grateful for after our long flight. The breakfast was excellent.Comment of M. Mohini , South Africa the 2017-01-23

"Rooms Looking tired"
Stayed here for a long weekend , the hotel looked nice from outside and reception was modern looking , but when we went to the room it smelt musty like a cross between dampness and sweaty feet as did the corridor to the room . The bed was really uncomfortable and the pillows were lumpy and went flat as soon as my head went on them . The room was very warm but a fan was supplied because it was too noisy to open the window. On the plus side , getting into the city centre was easy as there is a tram stop about 200 yards away and a bus stop about the same the other way. Overall I would rate my room a 3 star not 4 but there is so much to do in Dublin it's only somewhere to put your head down at the end of the day .
"Outstanding Hotel/Great Location"
My wife and I stayed here on the advice from our travel agent. This is an outstanding hotel with a great location near the Phoenix Park, Guinness Brewery and the main stops for the on and off buses and tram. Hotel staff were very courteous and knowledgeable. Rooms were clean and the food was very good both in the main restaurant and Bar.I would recommend this to anyone staying in Dublin.
This hotel is in a perfect location to see all the sights of Dublin. If you don’t mind a walk it’s about 25 minutes to Temple Bar, the Zoo and the Gaol. Otherwise you can use the hop on hop off bus or tram which both run adjacent to the hotel. The room was lovely, spacious and clean with a more modern feel than some locations in Dublin. The food was delicious from the breakfast to the evening meals. Would highly recommend!
"A great hotel"
I stayed there for 3 nights. Very good location near the attractions and shopping street. Outside the hotel there is a bus station, a tram station and the hop on hop off station as well, so it was very easy to go anywhere. The room was clean and spacious and very well furnished. Staff are very kind and friendly. The breakfast buffet was great. It was really a perfect stay.
"Ashling rises from the ashes"
Four years since I was Last here on business and a lot has changed for the better. The Liffey suite was used for a business conference and was suitably decked out plenty of fresh fruit and teas and coffees. Free Wifi as always is a great help. Had lunch in the restaurant assisted by guest relations manager ( hope I got the name right) sylvania such a pleasant smile a first class business ethic top of her game she joked with us carried my tray over and treated us like we where kings. Two of us had the escalope of pork which possibly could have been cooked a little more as it was a little tough but tasty non the less. Then our manager of the year treated us to a complimentary ice cream and strawberry desert which was wonderful. What a pleasant way to spend the day this young lady will go far in the hotel industry and is an asset to this hotel. Keep up the good work ashling hotel we will be back next time for an overnight stay.
