"Fit for purpose"
Four night stay with friends whilst attending Madrid Mutual tennis 2017. We chose this hotel for access to Metro and the fact we could get 3 beds into the room. Great supply of toiletries, sufficient towels etc for us three, and free mineral water for first day. Easy to use safe, and the luxury of a small fridge. Good shower, lovely large magnifying mirror for makeup. The main delight of the hotel is the garden bar, a lovely leafy haven with subtle lights and an amazing gin and tonic seven with fresh strawberries.
"Modern and functional "
This hotel was close to the Metro so easy access to the city . Double double glazing meant that traffic noise, although close was not a problem and I am a light sleeper. We didn't eat there as we found a lovely cafe just across the road for delicious breakfasts and an Italian restaurant also nearby -Ginos -who were super friendly and stayed open late They are set up for Conferences but I didn't see the venue as it was in use. A comfortable and uneventful stay.
This is a large hotel a distance away from the centre but near to a metro station for good access to town. Retiro Park is approximately 15 minutes walk in the direction of the town centre. The room was clean and comfortable with a large TV with limited English channels. The room had a fridge, safe and complimentary water on day 1. There was free wi fi in the room and plenty of sockets There is an on site restaurant and café. Breakfast in the restaurant is approximately 11 euro if booked in advance at reception but 13 euros if you just turn up. However, the cafe does serve tea, coffee and various things for a continental breakfast. For example coffee and a pastry is approximately 3 euro 40. Other set combinations are available.
"Very Nice Hotel"
Stayed here for 4 nights over the last weekend of April for a Rugby Tournament - this was our Team Hotel and we booked 14 rooms. We are good boys and were respectful of the rest of the guests - our fancy dress night on Saturday may have turned a few heads though as we left the hotel - they all loved us! The hotel is very comfortable and the Reception Staff were both friendly and helpful. Rooms are not the largest I have stayed in but very comfortable. Air Con was available but it was freezing weather so we did not need it. WiFi was free but on the slow side. Bathroom very functional - only a shower no bath but the floor of the shower was very slippery - one to watch. We booked breakfast which was something of a cross between continental and full English with bacon and eggs and sausage available with a good choice of breads and meats and cheeses etc. One small criticism was that the hot things did run out and were slow to be replenished. The location of the hotel is not good for the city centre - we got taxis which were about €10 each way which was not bad between 4 but there was a bus stop nearby and a Metro too. All in all I would not fault this hotel - did the job nicely.
"Good business hotel"
This hotel is not centrally located but near a metro station. There are good restaurants in the vicinity of the hotel. The room was spacious and offered all expected amenities. Wi-fi was slow in he room. The breakfast was OK (self-service buffet). A good hotel for a business trip.
