"A little strange but good."
The Ayre hotel in Cordoba seemed at first very nice Our tour coach took us to it - thrice. Situated three miles from the center of Cordoba With a bus stop three hundred meters or over From the hotel, it's a twelve euro taxi ride out. Set in extensive and beautiful grounds, I doubt There's a good reason for compact sized rooms. Breakfast is OK - the choice is of limited range. There's a pond with fish, nowt else(seems strange). Otherwise this is a fine hotel within reason. The pool isn't open weekdays out of season. There are sun beds and chairs all around The public areas, gardens and grounds. There's a drought in this part of Spain They desperately need lots of rain. The hotel's policy' Realization dawns. Why are they watering their lawns'
"Has seen better days"
Right out of town with no facilities close by. At first sight this hotel seems quite pleasant, but as part of a tour group we got one of the less pleasant rooms. This was room116, the only good thing about it being it's size. The hard mattresses had nasty polyester sheets. The 2 armchairs had dirty worn upholstery and were sticky to touch. In the bathroom tobacco smoke came in around the window which was next to the smoking patio area. The nozzle fell off the hairdryer when I picked it up. The shower screen was surrounded by mould and the chrome plating had worn off the taps. We did not have dinner there. Breakfast was disorganised, but with a reasonable choice of food. Tour group customers are treated as second class people and are not allowed to sit at tables next to the windows. If only the y has opened the bar by the pool they would have had a lot of customers. Reception staff pretended not to know what a customer satisfaction sheet is. I would not stay there as an individual. Presumably tour groups get it at a cheap rate. I hope so.
"Average hotel in a nice garden"
We stayed here for 2 nights during spring break. The weather was beautiful so we stayed most of our time in the garden and by the pool. Although it would've been nice to have beverage and snack services by the pool, but we didn't see any. The hotel seemed to have lost its glory days. The food, cleanliness and services were all average. The room was large and hotel offered free parking. Was expecting more from a four star hotel!
"Great hotel on outskirts of Cordoba"
This is a good hotel really well placed for visiting Cordoba. A bus from within 400 metres of the hotel gets you into Cordoba central within 20 minutes. The hotel has many good facilities including a good outdoor pool
"Not a four star hotel"
We are traveling with a tour group. I'll keep it short. The A/C in our room is marginal at best. We've been awake all night due to the stuffiness. The staff says it's working, it's not. We were greeted by a large cockroach heading towards the buffet area while we were waiting to get in (not a good sign). The dinner buffet had mediocre, bland, and cold food. The table wine was cheap. Our closet smells musty (probably due to the poor A/C). Our mattresses are cheap and there is no mattress cover (just a sheet). The whole room needs updating. Given a choice I would not stay here again.
