In general, the stay exceeded our expectations. The staff went out of their way to make our stay a special occasion- celebrating our 40th Wedding anniversary. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was magnificent & the private villa was well appointed & beyond expectations. The photo's really don't do this place a real justice. Jeff's cellar was an absolute amazing experience - dining in a cave......wow what an experience. A special mention to both Ida & Loui who looked after us on a regular basis. The staff at Pomelo were equally very accommodating & pleasant - great service with a smile. The only negative we could make was having to play second fiddle to the Singapore Ferrari group - understanding the support & relationship Banjaran have with this group. Inspite of this, the management team made our anniversary evening celebration a very private & personal event in the privacy of our own villa & supported by our own private butler. Thanks for making the 6 days very memorable. Joy & Stewart Jackson Sydney Australia - October 2017
"One of a kind"
If you visit Malaysia and want to go somewhere unique, you must stay at The Banjaran Hotsprings! I think that writing a review does not do it justice, as this place is a piece of heaven on earth. The project behind the transformation of the hotsprings into a resort is pure genius and deserve recognition. The hotel coexist with the surrounding unspoiled nature and it aims to preserve its native flora and fauna. The geothermal pools are amazing, as well as the caves. The villas are so comfortable and luxurious. The staff very professional and polite. We would like to thank the management for the nice gesture of offering us a bottle of prosecco as a congrats for our honeymoon. We will be talking about The Banjaran for quite a long a time, I am sure...and hopefully we will go back soon!
"Great place to relax "
We stopped off here for a couple of days. Staff treated you so nicely, they can't do enough for you. They ferry you around on golf buggies which is always fun. Spectacular natural beauty all around, sometimes questionable fake fibreglass rocks were added, which seemed absurd in such a place! But it didn't spoil it! There are meditation caves, various pools and hot springs, plus your own jucuzzi & pool in your room - this blew my mind! Room service food was mostly nice but breakfasts were amazing. Roti was so tasty and they will do a vegetarian one for you. Pancakes also really good. The whole place was super relaxing, serene and chilled. Book in for a massage, although they're pricey by Malaysian standards we decided to go for it and they were worth it. They provide free mosquito spray which smells much nicer than the ones we had! Rooms were spotless and came with a life sized tiger toy to scare off thieving monkies! Apparently they can sometimes steal stuff from your apartments but it didn't happen to us. Just don't leave any valuables in the outside part of your apartment. Feed fish from the balconies and look out for turtles in the water and monkeys in the trees. Beer/alcohol is expensive in here though!
This is a hidden gem, just what you urge for after a long journey or as in my case - weeks on the islands. It’s location is stunning, nestled in a deep valley with lush vegetation including wildlife (that dosen’t intrude). Mysterious caves, waterfalls and ponds including Doctor Fish. The resort with it’s gardens is tastefully designed and maintained. A dinner in Jeff’s breathtaking cave is a must.
"Services & Facilities"
On arrival, we were met by a gentleman, who took our bags and walked us to the reception. At the reception, welcome drinks and individual information were obtained. Afiqqah, who roomed us, showed us around the room and introduced the room thereafter. Afiqqah was confident, and explained the facilities whilst taking us to our room. This was when, we also decided to have dinner at Pomelo. The selection was limited but the food was really good. Spa was amazing. Here, we had to fill up another questionnaire but it was so that they didn't need to ask us much during the treatment. The massage was amazing. We also met Raymond at breakfast the next morning and upon check-out. He was absolutely hospitable! For a facility that was so vast, the cleanliness and precision to detail was amazing! Oh, and I also found out after that, that Afiqqah was new and was just doing cross training. Please congratulate her on a job well done for me! Thank you, Afiqqah for making our trip to a memorable one.
