"Beach palace cancun"
Resort very nice beds very comfortable. The Italian restaurant has a dress code so we could not use it as I had no long trousers with me,night time entertainment poor could do with more as we were there for two weeks ,staff very friendly and helpful
"Gorgeous hotel and perfect location! "
I was torn between booking the Moon Palace and Beach Palace but went for Beach Palace due to the lovely sea and location.... 10 minutes from the main Cancun strip and very close to La Isla shopping centre which we loved!! So many nice things to report including the food, drinks and we honestly don't have anything negative to say! Great for families, rooms spacious and lovely. The staff at the hotel work extremely hard to keep everyone happy! A special mention to Ema I tried the paddle board yoga with her and really struggled the first day (kept falling in!) but she had so much patience with me and I am now so much more confident! All of the staff are lovely but out of the class Ema is so friendly and approachable and is definitely an asset to the hotel! Also Yadira at the beach goes out of her way to remember your drinks and gives amazing service! A lovely holiday and we will definitely be back in the future! Thanks to all staff who made it a special holiday that we will remember in years to come!
"Great family vacation! 7/11-7/18...."
This was our favorite family vacation. (My kids are 17,15 and 12) We are so glad we chose this place. We definitely would love the opportunity to go back! Overall, we were very happy with our time there! BEACH If you don't like the beach, this is probably not the best hotel to go to. We are HUGE beach fans, so we enjoyed it. The water was awesome. It's why we went to Cancun. You have to arrive early (9:00am) to get a beach chair, especially for a family of 5. I recommend going to the food station behind the pool rather then the pool bar to get lunch. It takes a long time for the staff to get your food. It's understandable as its crowded. We rented jet skis at the beach. You can go through BP & it's $56. POOLS We spent must of the time on the beach. The pool is nice. It is though overcrowded. It was tough to get a spot at the pool bar as some just took up residence there. The upstairs pool bar is the same deal. It was a nice view. The fitness room is on the top deck as well. They had enough stuff in there to keep you going. HOTEL ROOM We stayed in the family suites, lagoon side. We had no complaints. The room was good size, comfortable beds and clean. The sunsets over the lagoon were awesome. It has a nice balcony overlooking the lagoon. A ceiling fan would be nice out there as its warm! The hot tub was nice as well. We were not in the room a lot as the beach and tours were calling. The cleaning folks did a nice job with the rooms. I would recommend a room away from the elevators. The loud drinkers coming out of the elevator woke my wife up a number of times. HOTEL It is a very nice and comfortable hotel. The "wow" is the ocean. RESTUAURANTS All four restaurants were really good! They have a nice variety and the food was tasty. The food portions are a little small at the restaurants. It's all a la carte, so order enough to fill you up. We ordered multiple main dishes. Tequilla is the buffet style restaurant in the lobby. The selection and taste was good. You can eat right away in there. If you eat at the other restaurants and it's not before 7pm, you will have a long wait. It's vacation, we were able to deal with it. I liked the coffee and sweets place for crepes, ice cream and frappacinos. HOTEL STAFF They were all very polite and attentive. The hotel is not an elegant hotel, however the staff really works hard to create positive impressions. The moment we arrived till when we left they all were friendly. They seem to understand your on vacation and always did the "little things" to make it special. $1500 RESORT CREDIT. It sounds a lot better then the reality. We knew what to expect from other reviews. There is some value though in the RC. It's more of a discount type of service. There is a 16 percent tax on the credit that is used. The RC is also limited in it's scope. It would be better if they would give greater flexibility to what you can use it for. We did not use all of it. We used the RC for a couples citrus massage ($288RC). The massage was nice. They did create a relaxing atmosphere. The steam room was the hottest that I have ever been in. You can only used RC for a limited amount of spa treatments. That should be changed. We also used RC for the paradise adventure tour. Once again, very limited in tour selection with RC. We really enjoyed the tour. We did a submarine/boat ride of a coral reef. We then snorkeled around the reef. This was one of the highlights of the trip. We spend a couple hours on the dock/boat. They let us just snorkel and swim around that area. They did not rush us. The water was crystal clear and plenty of fish life. We did the Isle Mujeres tour that came with our stay. It was a hectic pace but a worthwhile tour. We paid and extra $35 per person to snorkel. It was worth it. Once we went to down town Isle Mujeres we skipped the shopping and took a taxi to North beach. That was a great move. We wish we could have spent more time there. We did not do Tulum as it's a long drive and not the best for teens. We also did Adventure Maya Snorkel tour. That was the best of the tours that we did. We snorkel in 3 different eco systems. All were amazing and worth the price. We started at the cenote. My wife and daughter snorkeled there. My sons and I did the zip lining and the 12-15 ft cliff jumping. The water is clear and cool. We then snorkeled in an attached cave. It really was an awesome sight. 50 feet deep in some places! We finished that tour snorkeling in an ocean inlet. My son and the tour guide were able to get some cool go pro footage of a 5 ft great barracuda! BEWARE OWNERSHIP SALES The lobby has a number of folks that will try to set you up for a vacation ownership presentation. They were not over the top pushy though. They were helpful in finding possible tours. We did agree to go a presentation. They promised a 90 minute no pressure meeting. Our presenter was kind and talkative. Beware, the meeting will go at least 2 1/2 hours. It would be nice if they were upfront with the time. They were a number of unhappy folks due to the time. Overall, the program seems good. We just are not interested in it at this time. They are not giving anything away... its a business, they are making money on you. We were able to get two free tickets and 30 percent off for the Adventure Maya tour. SOUVERNIRS We went to La Isla for shopping. It's an upscale over priced mall. They were a few places there to get those items. Hope this helps! I know other reviews helped make our vacation memorable.
"Family Vacation in July"
We just returned from a vacation at the Beach Palace in Cancun. There were 7 of us that travelled together for a weeks vacation. I will start from when we arrived. We were greeted right away from the van when we pulled up. They gave us a nice cool towel to wipe our hands and faces, it was very ho tout so it felt pretty good. The women all received a flower that we put in a vase in the room and it stayed looking nice all week. We went straight to check in and they were very friendly and accommodating. We had requested adjoining rooms but at first we did not get them, but as soon as we asked, they were able to set us up on the 8th floor with the two rooms. We went to our rooms and the bags were shortly behind us, the rooms were amazing, very clean and all amenities were very good. We had one of the boys use too much toilet paper in the first 15 minutes we were there, we called the front desk and within a few minutes there was someone there to fix it. They then follow up with a phone call to make sure someone came to fix it. We have travelled a lot and one of the most frustrating things is the shortage of towels, this was not the case here. You could walk up and get a towel whenever you wanted. They did not have the towel card like other resorts and if someone lost their towel then they would steal another so they did not have to pay. This was a really nice touch. Since we have access to a pool at home, we spent every day at the beach. It was a gorgeous beach, the sand was so nice and no rocks, a little seaweed every day but that could not be helped. The only thing that I could say negatively about the beach area was that the days we did not get there early, we could not get chairs. They could have added a few more rows of chairs to accommodate this and take away the soccer area that was only used for a half hour every day. We had one of the most amazing experiences of our travelling lives ever this week. The sea turtles are coming into the beaches to lay their eggs right now and we got to experience that a couple different nights. We watched them come up the beach and dig their holes and lay their eggs and then bury them and struggle back to the water. This was a once in a lifetime experience that our kids will never forget. Lets talk about the food, what a great experience. With there being 7 of us we did have to wait a few nights for a table but the pager system was very handy. We would go to the Stadium Bar and have a drink or two and play some pool or just talk about our day. We only ate at the buffet the fist night when we arrived and it was very good. All the kids found things they liked. When my girlfriend and I travel we enjoy the a la carte restaurants. We ate at all of them and they were all very good. Our favourite was the Wok and we ate there 3 nights. From the appetizers to the noodles and sushi and the teriyaki beef and chicken it was all awesome. We had the same waiter a couple of the nights and I wish I could remember his name, but the service was great. The Bocelli was also great. Pasqual was our waiter both time we went there and it was so nice that he remembered us. The antipasto table was so good, the cheeses and meats and the bruschetta was amazing. The appetizers and entrées were also so good. We had some big kids with big appetites and there was no issue bringing them what they wanted. Finally the Grill was our least favourite but was also very good. The bread that was brought to the table was so good. The steaks and other entrées were very good as well. I would also like to give a big thanks to Diego at the Bocelli during breakfast and lunch. He showed extra interest in us and wanted to see our pictures from our excursions. He had a handshake with my son and he thought that was pretty cool. We also had the credits that the hotel offered, with 2 rooms that gave us $3000.00. We researched this ahead of time and had prebooked with Silvia before we left. Everything was just as we thought and found it to be a great value. We took everyone to Tulum for the tour and we added the ATV's and cenote swim. for some of us this was our second time there. I will review this separately. We also used our credits to swim with the dolphins and to zipline. So the negitives to this resort are very small but just wanted to share them. We did do the membership presentation. Although they are very good at trying to sell you a package, and if the airfare was low enough it may have been a good deal once we were down to the third and forth offer, we could not commit to buying into something as we were only at the resort for just less than 24 hrs. We did buy a return tripand we thought it was a greta deal, however throughout the whole presentation the sell was for whole weeks, but this purchase we noticed afterwards was for 4 nights. To summarize we thught the resort was great and the people working there were fantastic, they truly want you to have an exceptional vacation ad will do anything to make that possible.
A great family place to stay with excellent food, great hotel, nice people - only single complaint was the small beds. Beach was amazing as well as room service and pool bar. Fun pool tables and Dj at night also
