"Great Hotel & Great Location"
A really lovely hotel, spacious rooms with living area as well, super reception staff who are very helpful and courteous, and thankfully for us, most speak very good English. The rooms are clean, two small doubles in a twin room that I shared with a friend, robes and slippers and all the usual things you would expect. Great location for getting around Beijing, a massive city that makes London look like a small town like Cambridge! Right next to a metro station, next to the Forbidden City, with good shopping round the corner - from market style stores to Gucci, Tiffany and Hermes, so suits all budgets! Go a little further up the main road and turn right and you can find yourself in one of the many Hutongs, where you can buy tasty local foods at very good prices (I am basing this on Uk living). Brilliant base and very good price too. Very happy with our stay. Thank you.
"Superb located close to main sights"
The Beijing Nuo has an e excellent location in the city Center. Top sights are in short walking distance such as Tianamen Squares, Forbidden City, Wangfujing Rd and even QianMen St. The building is historic and full of atmosphere. Rooms are spacy, clean and comfortable. Rich breakfast selection and all service staff very helpful and friendly. Concierge arranged private taxi to the great wall for us for 800 RMB the whole day to Mutianyu. All this outweighs that hotel rooms have got a bit up in years.
"Nice hotel; good location. "
Our four day stay at this hotel was very good. While there were a few things about the room that could have used some updating (i.e. the ceiling in the bathroom needs to be refinished), they did not negatively impact our stay. The bedroom, bathroom and sitting area were large and comfortable. The bathroom included most basic toiletries and a hair dryer. The lights and thermostat were controlled by a dated contraption next to the bed. It’s not clear how much the controller impacted the temperature in the room but the room stayed comfortable. The service at the desk was friendly and in English. The hotel is conveniently between the Forbidden City/Tiananmen Square and the Wangfujing shopping area. There is a subway stop for the 1 line directly in front of the hotel giving you access to just about anywhere.
This is really nice hotel. The hotel staff was very attentive the rooms were clean and very well kept. This is one of the fancier hotels in Beijing. I included the executive privileges which included the lounge. The food in the lounge was enough to not even eat supper. The attendees were perfect they supplied all of you wants. I went with a Business group I was with was very well pleased. If I go to Beijing again this is a definite must.
"A touch of class!"
A lovely hotel, steeped in history from it's days as "Raffles". We had a beautiful spacious room, really clean, and very comfortable. The hotel is in a great location, within walking distance to the shopping areas, Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden Palace. A good base from which to explore. Fantastic buffet breakfast, great choice. The staff were fantastic, especially 'Summer' on meet and greet duty in the foyer, and 'Coolio' the concierge, who was unbelievably helpful, and always smiling. If you are travelling from the airport by taxi, it will take 1.5 to 2 hrs depending on traffic. Expect to pay about 120 Yuan (£12) from a taxi rank cab. Don't accept an offer of a taxi in the arrivals area, as you will pay 500 Yuan for the same journey.
