We stayed at Berjaya Times Square hotel for three nights from 14th November till 17th November. The staff were all friendly & helpful. The room was spacious & clean. Tea & coffee making facilities in our room, large comfortable bed & tv. The bathroom was clean & clean towels were provided daily. Breakfast was excellent, large dining area with plenty of choice. The hotel is used by business people as well as tourists. There is a shopping mall between the two towers of the hotel which also has a small theme park complete with rollercoaster. The hotel is situated close to the monorail & it’s fairly easy to find your way around the city. When we arrived at the hotel we had to wait to check in. This was clear to us & we were fortunate enough to obtain a room about 1.30pm. After a very long journey & arriving at the hotel at 10.30am it would have been better if we could have had our room straight away(check in time is actually 3pm). Once we had our room everything else was fine. We would stay at the Berjaya again but would love to see an earlier check in.
"Tired, noisy and not that convenient"
We were sold this hotel on the basis that it was a great quality hotel in a central location. Sadly it failed on both counts. Firstly - location. We like to walk. The hotel is 25/30 minutes from the major attractions in any direction - Petronas, Menara tower, Chinatown. But if you stayed near the Petronas you're still only 25/30 mins away from the other 2 but the Tower on your doorstep. It is in a complex of over 1000 shops and Malaysia's biggest indoor theme park. Of those shops we wouldn't consider going to over 990 of them and the theme park is sad and depressing and empty - hardly a reason to be in the area We did try using the monorail once but came across the only member of staff who couldn't speak English so we gave up. Hotel - we started on the 22 floor but the lack of sound proofing meant that it felt like we were on ground level with the windows open. That combined with the stains on the sofa and, appallingly, the duvet and the overall lack of cleanliness meant we asked to be moved. We were given a room on the 39th floor which was much quieter but old, tired and dated and of a lower standard to the room we booked. Breakfast - a joke - disorganised chaos. Food often running out, queues at the egg station often over 20 mins and a food station generally not big enough for the demand created by the number of guests that could be tabled. It is also poorly set out so there is no natural flow of guest leading to bumping into each other and spillages. Staff - tried hard but seemed resigned to receiving complaints. Good things - the outdoor pool on the 15th floor, a limited functioning smart phone in each room that you could take with you on your days out with google maps, a quick check out. I apologise to anyone who has booked this hotel but I hope those that are looking to book will take a balanced view of the TA reviews written about this place. As an alternative I would suggest that there are some international branded hotels up around Suria KLCC which are better and better located. Its sad as the other Berjaya hotels in Malaysia get very good reviews.
"Great location, extremely affordable!"
Got myself a executive package got just $130aud per night. The room was spacious, the executive lounge newly renovated and right next to the imbi monorail station. It's also attached to one of the largest shopping malls in Asia!! The only downside is that imbi is a very popular station and the monorail is a bit slow and not as frequent as other lines
"Central, but a little tired"
I travelled here for business and the hotel is centrally located. A nearby monorail station affords for rapid transit to Sentral Station, accessing the airport and many other business centres. They have a wonderful pool that seems to stretch endlessly. There is also a pleasant poolside bar, serving extraordinarily expensive beers, which sports views of the Petronas Towers. The hotel itself is dated. The rooms could use a clean. Indeed, we used the conference facilities as well, and most of the carpets could use even a cursory vacuum clean. I know that TripAdvisor is not the right place for this, but, if you are also looking to host an event here, be aware that there will be many other meetings held concurrently, all of which spill out to the same chaotic communal space, with a mix of conferences, exhibitions and catering. Good breakfast, but. And they also served us a cracking buffet lunch.
"Excellent Infrastructure with Two connecting Huge towers"
A hotel with two seperate and connecting Towers. A and B Towers.Lower Floor of A Tower is full of shops.B tower is with Reception ,Lobby ,Restaurant for Breakfast on 14 th floor. This restaurant on 14 th floor is common for both towers to enjoy compimentary breakfast. This has common Swimming pool and play area. There is a great SPA on 15th floor. At each stage there is meticulous security arrangement. No one can move freely without Room key .I waws upgraded to a suite room on 34th floor.in A Tower.A very spacious room with all basic amenities. A take away travel cell phone with local sim has been placed in the room for the convenience and use of hotel customers. This helps all those to use it to communicate locally.I understand no charges are levied. Chekin process is satisfactory though check out process was slow.Room service is time consuming.Breakfast is well spread.A quite large but croweded restaurant.Maitenance of such a hotel with tow towers is a herculean task.Cleanliness is reasonably good..A very good place for the family with children to enjoy.
