"Good hotel but could be better"
This hotel is in a superb location and I have to say the staff were great. But..... when you pay a fairly high rate with many other hotels in the area, you expect to get what you paid for. I had an executive suite which meant you had certain extras in your room (bath robe, umbrella etc). I had neither when I checked in. As well as that, my safe didn't work and the air con wouldn't go below 24 degrees. I told the staff and to their credit they attended to it straight away. They said the air con was fixed but 24hrs later they were moving me to another room as it still wouldn't go below 24 degrees. The new room was good and the safe worked as well as me having a robe! They wardrobe door was hanging off as the hinge needing screwing in but I was just happy to get the air con down to 21 degrees (lowest it would go'!). Like I said, staff were great and tried to help out and the location was A-star.. just fix up the minor details and this will be a great stay for business or leisure.
Stayed here for the world championships triathlon. Our schedule was tight, and all of the staff were extremely friendly and helpful to make sure our stay was perfect. The room was also clean and comfortable.
"very warm welcome"
Just a beautiful hotel with parking at the rear for €19.50 per day. The hotel is well kept kept and clean. We parked at the hotel as we thought the daily parking rate is reasonable as it is centrally located in Rotterdam. When we checked in, we received a very warm welcome and our child received a luxurious bag a sweets (this was a wonderful start for our child to enjoy). We thought that was an amazing gesture from the hotel. From the hotel, we walk everywhere and did not take public transportation at all. Our room was very spacious, clean, and with a great view - ask for a room with a view on a high floor. We have a 9 year old and the room still is spacious. The hotel accommodated our child with a fold away bed. Will definitely stay here again, if ever in Rotterdam.
"Great overall experience"
i received a warm welcome. They could not have done enough for me to make my stay comfortable. The disabled facilities were outstanding. World class. The food was excellent, both in the bar area, and in the restaurant. I look forward to my next visit.
"Only Slightly Spotted Copybook"
I generally stay at this very convenient Rotterdam Centre hotel as it is a) comfortable, b) the staff are very helpful and c) they have an outstanding breakfast. The rooms are also generally we'll set out with lots of PowerPoints (some are even UK fitting). The free WiFi generally works well although you have to relog in each day (not always straight forward). The only really negative feature is the surprising lack of accessible toilets for mobility impaired folk off both the restaurant and Foyer/bar areas (the only facilities for these areas are down long flights of Mable stairs). It is a real bind to take disabled folk along a circuitous route involving 2 lifts back to your room for a natural function.
