"Typical busy Marriot but with a good location"
Loved my room. I upgraded to a corner room and loved it. Also liked that it was in upper 80's when I was there and the hotel is connected to Copley Place shopping center, right from the lobby and by going over a glass skyway to the Prudential Center, so you never have to go outside. Also a Starbucks in the hotel, which was great. I almost did not go because of complaints in past reviews on the elevators but they worked fine when I was there although a bit confusing initially.
It was convenient to the theater district and the North end. Only a few miles each direction. The hotel is connected to an upscale shopping mall with all brand names, it also connects to the Piedmont Center and the Cheesecake Factory that's a block away. It's a little far from the Harbor but Uber is everywhere there and you don't have to walk the 5 miles if you don't want to. Check in staff was friendly, and quick. The room was nice, very clean. We didn't have any maintenance or worn out issues in our room. We were on the 31st floor. Bed was comfortable, pillows a little hard. The only thing it does not have is a small in room fridge but there is ice machines and vending on the floor. There is a Starbucks inside the hotel and they also have coffee etc on one of the other floors. We used the concieare service to print out theater tickets without any problems. Also used the Bellman for cabs etc., there is one Bellman who is slightly heavy, I cannot remember his name but his personality and service was amazing. He recommended a restaurant to us after we had asked where to eat, an Italian one in the Theater district that was awesome. I would stay here again if visiting Boston.
We stayed 3 days here from 18-21 April, 2 children (5&6) and 2 adults. As Mariott Rewards customers we were on concierge floor with access to complimentary breakfast and snacks. Location of this hotel is Super; one can hop in and out it's so central. Swimming pool and gym were superb. Perhaps the biggest asset of this hotel is their wonderful staff, all without exception were incredible, from management, pool attendees, housekeeping, servers, everyone. There was one person who is probably the ultimate asset this hotel has and that is Lesley who is on the front desk. Lesley has a way with her that I have never experienced in any hotel, her warm personable manner was the icing on the cake of our stay. Lesley treated the kids like princes. I hope Mariott are aware of the amazing team member they have. My sons tooth fell out while staying and Lesley had a hamper of goodies delivered to our room which went way beyond any expectation and certainly gave the tooth fairy a run for her money! I hope to return to Boston with the family and would not hesitate to stay here again. Only regret we had was having to leave and come back to Dublin. See you soon again Lesley and Boston!
"Excellent hotel in Boston "
Stayed here one night for a college visit with my son. Had a great stay here. Used my Marriott point for a free night. Upgraded to 31st floor room with an excellent view. Service was great, excellent wifi, great fitness center, great location. I would have given it 5 stars, but the executive lounge is very small and was overwhelmed by too many people in this big hotel/this room needs an upgrade. But everything else here was excellent.
"Great Views & Location"
I stayed at the Marriott while in town for an event this spring. The hotel is in a convenient, central location attached to the mall where you can find upscale shops and dining. Our King Room was on the 35th floor and had amazing views. Almost the entire wall across from the bed was glass! I honestly didn't sleep that well, but I enjoyed waking up to the unexpected April Fool's Day storm. The snow swirling at our level down onto the city was breathtaking. Take away breakfast was not that great. I would head into the mall or BackBay to find something more fresh and flavorful for possibly less.
