"A fine place for sightseers"
My wife and I booked a trip through a tour agency, and this was our hotel for our three nights in Rome. I'd read a lot of negative reviews before we came, but the hotel was nice. We weren't there much since we were sightseeing, and it had everything we needed. There were convenient bus stops, and the Metro was only about a 15-20 minute walk. We'd read that the walk to the Metro was very steep, but we didn't find it to be bad at all. Maybe that's because we'd just come from the Amalfi Coast, which was much steeper. I wouldn't have wanted to walk to the city center though. Our last night we wanted to eat somewhere nice close to the hotel, and there were several options within walking distance. I'd read a lot of criticism of the hotel breakfast too, but I don't expect much from a hotel breakfast, and it was fine. I was in Rome, so I wasn't planning on filling up at a hotel breakfast! Since we had a rental car, it was nice to have a place a little bit outside of the city center where we could easily keep our car parked. If we returned to Rome, I might look for a place closer to the center, but if we wanted to stay outside again, we would be fine to stay here again.
"Nice hotel but mediocre meals"
I stayed here for a week as part of a Singles Holiday in September. My 3rd floor room was a very spacious double, with a shared balcony & a good view of St.Peter's and was cleaned daily. Unfortunately some of the fixtures and fittings were not up to standard - the towel rail in the bathroom was not fixed properly and the toilet seat had a tendency to move out of position when sat upon. Food was not particularly inspiring - breakfast was the usual cold meats & cheeses with a choice of scrambled eggs, bacon & sausage. There was also fruit and toast available, with jams and cake. Evening meals were mediocre - a first course of pasta, followed by a main course and then dessert. Main courses were variable in quality, ranging from poor to good, but desserts were quite acceptable. Fortunately, we were taken to city restaurants for evening meals on three occasions and these were of really good quality (see restaurant reviews). The hotel was situated in a pleasant setting in a quiet part of Rome, some 15 minutes by bus from the city centre, and the hotel pool looked appealing. Altogether, a fairly reasonable hotel but not, in my view, worth a 4-star rating.
"4 Days in Rome"
We stayed here 4 days while in Rome. For the most part we enjoyed our stay. We didnt have the greatest view, but we had access to the terraza which had a great view of the St. Peter's Basilica cupula. We had breakfast and dinner included with our stay. We always enjoyed dinner (always consisted of a pasta entree, some kind of pork and vegetables main dish with a lettuce, cabbage, tomato, and corn side salad, and a dessert). Breakfast was the same every single day, after day 2 it was kind of disappointing. The beds were a bit on the hard side. When we arrived our closet door was stuck, but it was repaired the next morning. Overall, I'd say our stay was good. The elevators are tiny, but that seems to be the norm in Europe so I cant necessarily deduct points to this particular hotel for that.
"worst hotel ever!"
We had a unpleasant stay in this hotel, this is the worst hotel ever Really bad location so far away from underground station, 20 mins for walking..... First at all the information about how to get to the hotel was so not clear enough and confused. Secondly, while we were checking-in, the staff didn't tell us the consequence that not put in the card in the hotel room suppose to be shown inactive and we didn't know that however the electricity still able to switch on and TV as well. In the morning, the staff just open the door without knocking and ringing the bell while I was shower. Finally, we left the watch in the hotel and we sent a email to hotel and we clearly stated that which room we had been stayed with our name as well, and they had my email address record because that email always the one contacted them and its already three days a ago, we haven't receive any feedback about my watch.
"Group Singles holiday"
i stayed here for a week as part of a singles group and had a large double room with a shared balcony.the room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast much the same as other hotels with cereals, fruit, cheese , cooked meat and also eggs, bacon etcetera. the evening meals however were really poor with lots of pasta and poor quality wine. the hotel is quite well situated for visiting all the attractions but is not in the centre of Rome. The staff were always friendly and helpful and the hotel is only 30minutes from the airport.
