"Group Singles holiday"
i stayed here for a week as part of a singles group and had a large double room with a shared balcony.the room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast much the same as other hotels with cereals, fruit, cheese , cooked meat and also eggs, bacon etcetera. the evening meals however were really poor with lots of pasta and poor quality wine. the hotel is quite well situated for visiting all the attractions but is not in the centre of Rome. The staff were always friendly and helpful and the hotel is only 30minutes from the airport.
"Ok does the job - nothing exciting - a good 3 star but not 4 star"
Close to airport - 30 mins From what I've read on TP 4th floor room a lot better which we stayed in. Great tip! Nicely greeted on check-in, our bags were taken up to the room for us and was shown around the room. Hotel reception staff all friendly and helpful. Was upgraded free of charge as it was our anniversary. Room was in ok state, some loose/poor maintained fittings. Air con was ok but centrally controlled. Room 403 Handheld PDA in room with local info restaurants, shopping but this didn't work well (poor connection). Free calls on it but again couldn't get connection to use it. Pool and Jacuzzi too cold to use was not heated, probably a waste of time unless 40 degrees plus. Nice views from rooftop. Pool bar and Jacuzzi bar is good. Joy very friendly and gave good customer service. Mini bar not topped up by cleaners. We had water and it wasn't topped up. Cleaners were very poor; only make the bed and replenish soaps just about. Plenty of towels which was good. Tea cups not replaced the following day after use, had to just wash them out ourselves and re-use. Shuttle to local metro is 1 euro each person each way and takes 5 mins drive can call for pickup also. Area isn't great to walk around in but there a couple ok bars restaurants. Seemed safe enough and people friendly. 24/7 Mcdonalds is near if you get back late from a night out and need a dirty burger. Hotel restaurant is ok, nice setting, food was ok. All in all, nothing to rave about would have preferred to stay a bit closer to the centre but booked it last minute. It did the job for us and the nice staff made the issues a lot easier to deal with.
"Really quite poor"
What appears to be a grand hotel with a fancy appearance is actually really quite poorly run. The staff are incredibly rude i was told loudly and rudely to cover up whilst lounging by the pool by one particular bar man as my shorts were apparently too short this was so humiliating and i felt extremely uncomfortable. What was worse is that all the pretty slim girls were allowed to wear whatever they wanted. The hotel also randomly charged me £25 for no reason and couldn't explain why or refund the amount. My friend who also booked separately at the hotel and arrived on her birthday was shouted at and told she had no booking. There was only one polite helpful staff member and that was a lady who worked at the pool bar. Asides from rude staff the breakfast is rubbish and the cleaners try and come in to your room at 8am. I would definitely not be recommending this hotel!
"Not as nice as pictures show "
Me and my boyfriend have recently just came back from a 4 night stay here. I booked this hotel as it was one of the only ones in Rome which had a pool and was not too expensive. On arrival we were greeted by friendly reception staff who explained all we needed to know and kindly carried our bags to our room. For some reason you do not have access to the air conditioner in the room you have to ask receptionist whenever you want it on or off. Which I found slightly annoying. It was also very weak. We had to ask to have it on the lowest setting and was still quite stuffy in the room at night. I was also quite disappointed with the pool. It was 35degrees in Rome at the time and the pool was still absolutely freezing we were unable to swim in it. It literally took your breath away it was not nice at all. Such a shame as again it was the main reason I booked the hotel. The roof top jacuzzis however did save the day as they were not as cold. We stayed up there for hours one morning it was really nice. I paid to upgrade to a nicer room with a balcony. Again I was a bit disappointed with the standard of the room. The carpet was quite dirty and had not been hoovered. The tap broke off every time It was used and the price of the drinks in the fridge were very very expensive. The balcony was also not private it was just separated by plants in between each films balcony. Also the prices of the snacks and drinks by the pool were very very expensive! All in all our stay was ok but not great: staff were helpful and friendly but i wouldn't return as I don't think it was worth the money I paid. Also i read lots of reviews before I went saying it was sooo far away from everything - it wasn't. I mean it obviously isn't in the centre of Rome but a taxi to the centre was about 13€ or the bus stop was about a 5 minute walk and they ran every 15-20 mins into the centre. We tried buying a ticket too but the driver just lets people on for free every time - very strange for a city. It's actually quite a nice walk too we done it twice, takes about an hour but you see so much on the way. You have to pay €6 tax per person per night in the hotel too which I did not no when I booked it. Not explained very clearly. Hope some of this helps people
