Castro Exclusive Residences by the Sagrada Familia made our trip to Barcelona one to remember. It started with Talia who was so helpful and super nice. She answered all of our questions and showed us she really cared. The apartment was fully furnished and everything worked great. I definitely recommend this place to if you are staying in Barcelona. Hopefully you have the pleasure to meet Talia. She will make you feel at home.

I rang and asked to speak to the manager . I was told he would ring me back which he never did. I then asked reception staff how best to make contact with management. They told be to email in and gave me email address . I have not had a response to my email. While I was at the apartment I had to help out two families who had arrived after long flights to find no one at reception to help them check in. This place could be great ,as it's in a great location and room layout is good. I have marked it terrible because management/owner do not communicate with you if there is an issue and have ignored my emails and phone messages.

The Castro apartments by the Sagrida Familia might not be much to look at from the outside but inside our 3 bed apartment with a lounge and kitchen this was a really good place to stay. Plenty of room however the lack of a pool on the roof lets it down especially when we found out the indoor pool at the spa which was one of the main factors in booking could only be used by over 17s. This was not made clear on Expedia's website and is the source of an ongoing complaint. With that exception we couldn't really complain and it made a good base for thise with children who arent big enough for their own room yet but are a bit too big for a family hotel room

This complex has the potential to be absolutely fantastic. The location is just minutes from the outstanding Sagrada Familia and is tucked away in a lovely little street. The apartments are beautifully furnished and there is plenty of space for a family of 5 (one of the bedrooms has two beds). Each bathroom is supplied with L'Occitaine toiletries, which are replaced daily. There is also a supermarket opposite for those wishing to self-cater. But, unfortunately, despite such positives, it has failings. Apartments at the front of the building are subjected to the noise from the streets' restaurants and bars - the windows are not sufficiently glazed to block out noise. The metro runs underneath the building so those apartments on lower levels are subjected to the rumblings of the trains from 5am. There is also a severe lack of staff on duty, which is extremely frustrating. We had issues with our first apartment - the tap in the bathroom was broken, together with the noise - and had to telephone the main office to seek help. There is one person 'on reception' but despite being helpful, is often hard to trace, probably because she is responsible for manning reception and dealing with any issues from guests. If you wish to go to and from the airport by taxi, book it yourself. Whilst the residence can do this for you, if you need to change your booking, it will be a nightmare! So tips for booking: 1) Book your own taxi transfer 2) Request a room at the back of the complex 3) Request an apartment on the 4th floor or above 4) If no one is at reception when you arrive, there is a machine at the entrance where you can check in (the complex doesn't advertise this and large numbers of people are often seen sitting in reception waiting aimlessly for someone to arrive) 5) bring your own kettle as there is not one available 6) There is also a 10 euro charge to store your luggage in a locker if you have a late flight and want to make the most of your day. Would I stay here again' Probably not - not because of the apartments, once we moved all was good - but because there is no member of staff available when you want one. So if you have any issues you have to ring the main number and hope that you get through. Despite assurances, a manager will call you back, this never materialises. There is a phone in the entrance to use out of manned hours, but you have to be lucky if anyone answers. This complex could be fantastic but is let down by poor customer service.

We stayed first week of august at castro spa sagrada familia. The start of the journey was a bit cold as we arrived at 4 o clock in the morning and we had to do check-in with a check-in machine (they have limited reception hours but good enough as normally is until 2am in the morning and they start at 7am) The apartments were extremely clean and really well decorated. Laia, Talia and Fabien asissted us really good and gave us excellent tips for the city. The contiguous SPA is a must!
