"Alpine luxury at alpine luxury prices"
Cervo is pricey but it's also pretty worth the splurge. Went there on a ski holiday (well, the husband hit the slopes while I hit the spa) in January 2017. What was really great about this hotel was the low density of people (only 36 rooms and suites in the whole property split among 6 chalets) and the fact that each chalet has its own spa. I really appreciated the lower chance of seeing random naked strangers (apparently it's a faux pas to wear/bring anything but your towel into the saunas). We stayed in the Cosy Deluxe Room which was quite spacious and had plenty of storage space for all the bulky snow clothing. We had a direct view of the Matterhorn from our window and enjoyed many a breakfasts (you can get it delivered to your room!!) watching the sky light up in the morning over the mountain. The only thing about the room that really irked me was because there is no shower partition, when you take a shower, the water goes everywhere. Luckily, someone usually cleans it up during housekeeping hours and turn down service. Oh, another thing is the bed/pillow was really soft (a bit too much so) and the sheets were reeeaaaalllly course. Like, hospital linen course. My skin quite benefitted from the nightly exfoliation. The service staff could do with a bit of fine tuning. There were a couple staff members that were quite good (Benjamin from front desk and all of the staff in Cervo Puro) but, also some that were just terrible (getting requests wrong, not booking the right spa appointments). The wait for the check-in was also quite long. What really impressed me was the amenities. Aside from the quality toiletries, the room came stocked with delicious drinks and snacks. There was premium teas, beer from Cervo's bar, and a snack box filled with various delicious things (popcorn, dried dates, chocolate, gummy bears) which was refilled every 3 (') days. Oh, and even more impressive was they gave a bag of goodies to take with us when we checked out. That was a really nice and thoughtful touch which left an awesome impression (even after paying our gigantic bill! Haha). Location wise, the hotel is quite nicely situated. It's a short 15 minute walk to town and the elevator to get down town is right in front of the hotel. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay and glad we splurged on the experience.
"Hike and Explore"
i booked the Hike and Explore package as a surprise for my boyfriend. we stayed 2 nights and i arrived with the highest expectations - which were even topped. everything was just perfect. ... super friendly and helpful staff, super nice rooms with balcony with matterhorn view, awesome breakfast, every chalet has its own wellness area with sauna&whirlpool with matterhorn view, good massage etc etc.... it is indeed not a cheap location but worth every penny! we ll be back.
"Amazing hotel, staff, rooms, food and views "
We stayed for 2 nights and were HIGHLY impressed. The staff was very friendly and helpful, always willing to accommodate, bring something to our room, and a warm smile. The rooms - WOW. Ours had a private patio with hot tub with a view of the Matterhorn. The shower was incredible with a steamer. The refrigerator had beer and drinks included and the chocolate was delicious. The rooms are beautiful with fireplaces, comfortable beds and nice wood decor. Our boys had a rooms with a nice patio and rockers, fireplace and 2 single beds. The bar and restaurant are a must visit. It is nice to sit outside on the comfortable couches and enjoy a drink and app. Note: many smokers. We don't normally spend much time at the hotel when we travel, as we like to be out and exploring - but this hotel was so comfortable and wonderful we spent a morning just relaxing and reading and enjoying the atmosphere. We would 100% stay here again when back in Zermatt.
"Amazing hotel, first rate facilities, attentive staff."
Definitely recommend. Cervo is truly an amazing hotel, with just the right amount of luxury and charm. It's close enough to the town to be part of the action but far enough to have a beautiful view of the town as well as the surrounding mountains (and the Matterhorn). The staff were attentive but not clingy, and the amenities were first class. Get to the après early, as Cervo is one of the more popular places in Zermatt to grab a drink after skiing. Everything from the breakfast to the grounds to the 'wellness' areas in each chalet was clearly well thought-out, and the ease with which you could get to the slopes from the hotel was the best in town.
"Great Hotel, Even Better Hotel Staff"
Amazing stay at Hotel Cervo. 1st Class facility with beautiful accommodations, breathtaking views of the Mattahorn, ski in/ski out location and great gourmet restaurant in house. Best part of Cervo experience, however, is the wonderful staff. They treat you more like personal friends than Hotel Guests. In particular, Assistant Manager Laura (as well as Thomas and Mia at Front Desk), went well above and beyond to treat us like VIP's. Thank you again Laura, your courtesies and kindness made our trip a memorable one. Highly recommend Hotel Cervo.
