"Made to feel very welcome by all staff"
What a wonderful hotel. Greeting by Reception was very welcoming and they couldn't do enough for us. We had a twin room in the old part of the chateau as we didn't want to be in the modern part. The waiter who served us our aperitifs in the bar area was very friendly and professional and he also served us dinner as well - sadly didn't get his name (glasses, short dark hair) but he is an asset to the hotel. When we couldn't eat the amuse bouche (duck fois gras) he kindly brought us a goats cheese dish instead. The hotel certainly had an amazing cheese trolley, what a choice for cheese lovers. Great buffet breakfast too - croissants were fab. The hotel also have bikes to rent as well but remember you will need to cycle back up the hill! It only takes just over 20 minutes to walk to the centre of Tours but believe there is a tram stop nearby as well as buses. Lovely spa area separate to the hotel, pool is a little on the cool side, the receptionist did warn us though. Excellent spa treatments plus a steam room and sauna too. Coffee machine in the room and staff were helpful in giving us a flask of hot water in the evening as we wanted tea instead. A great 3 night stay and I would thoroughly recommend.
"Great hotel in the heart of the Loire Valley"
Nice hotel in Tours and was a great base for touring the eastern end of the Loire valley. Situated about a 20 minute walk from the old town, but there is a new and frequent tram service within a few minutes walk. The hotel is a surprisingly quiet site in a residential area but offers a lot of character. The rooms are modern and comfortable with excellent beds offering a good night's sleep. The restaurant was very good for both dinner and breakfast, and service was always friendly and efficient. Good place to stay for a short break in the area.
I was lucky to stay in this beautiful hotel for several days. The hotel, or more a Chateau, benefits from a large private park and a total calm. The staff is absolutely professional, the kitchen chef is constantly looking for a new quality gastronomic meals. The management of the hotel is listening to all requests and requirements. a terrace with verriere, health care, superb kitchen and high standard services will assure you a perfect stay.
"Excellent Hotel in beautiful Tours"
We spent 5 nights in this wonderful hotel and enjoyed every minute of it. Extremely friendly and helpful staff, very comfortable and clean room, excellent food. Overall simply perfect. We would definitely go back there.
"Nice hotel, bit far from centre "
Arrived at the hotel through many little roads. Relatively easy to find with the use of google maps. Managed to park in the sheltered car park. The old part of the hotel looks fantastic from the outside but new extension makes it look like they have added a holiday inn next door. Arrived at 3 o'clock (check in time) and the room wasn't ready. Around 45 minutes later a lovely man showed us to our room and our luggage was already in there. Room was pleasant, large comfortable bed with plenty of towels and a dressing robe available too. Lack of hotel information available. Wandered across the grounds to the pool/sauna/steam room. Nobody on site for guidance but found a locker and used the facilities. This itself was a real treat, very quiet and relaxing. Service a little slow when wanting drinks or coffee, but staff seemed happy to help when available. No information given on check in regarding the centre or how to get there. Managed to navigate ourselves but further away than we realised. In the end we got a taxi back to the hotel to save our legs from the uphill route! Overall a very nice stay but little extras could have made it fantastic.
