I stayed here for 4 nights during a vacation throughout Scandinavia. I was very happy with this hotel. I used my Choice Points to book a "Superior" room. I had a 7th floor view of the neighboring park and city skyline. I would recommend asking for a room on this side of the hotel as I believe the opposite side faces the railroad tracks. My room was huge. Plenty of space for luggage, a large bed, a desk, and two chairs. The bathroom was also enormous. While in Stockholm, my mobile phone was stolen. The front desk people were very helpful. They let me make as many calls as I needed from my room to both the police and my family back in the United States. They could not have been nicer. The breakfast buffet (included) was amazing. If you leave hungry, then it is your own fault. There were enough choices to suit anyone's taste. The hotel is a 6 or 7 minute walk from Central Station and even closer to the Airport Train (Arlanda Express). The historic Gamla Stan area is maybe a 15 minute walk. I did it multiple times during my time in Stockholm and it was not a problem. Stay here on your next visit to Stockholm. I know I will!
Modern, clean and cozy hotel with excellent breakfast and good location. SPA was pretty expensive even with reduced price for hotel quests. Some noises during the nights from bar('). Music theme lifts were nice :)
Good location near central station. It was a little to busy and noisy at breakfast time but the food was good. The staff was very helpful with transportation suggestions and were very helpful when approached. I'd love to go back to try the spa!

If your ‘thing’ is to sit for 4-5 hours in the lobby, for three days in a row, waiting for your room to be made up. This may be just the hotel for you. You might even enjoy the added benefit of the lobby being so poorly designed, noisy and crowded that and incoming and departing guests are pretty much forced to mill around directly in front of the main entry door. The real issue for me was that no matter where you are in the lobby, check-in or restaurant areas you are constantly assaulted by whiney, squeaky, insipid ‘Kylie’ type music over the sound system – no let up, no variety, just the same awful stuff over and over. The staff are friendly, very helpful and try very hard to please, but it can’t make up for an impractical building design (at least for the main level), and an outdated (too cute) marketing philosophy. There seems to be an effort by the hotel to highlight various forms of music such as Jazz, Pop, Rock and that horrible “disco assault”. But throughout the public areas that I visited you seem to be stuck in a 1990’s time warp - 24 X 7.
"Helpful staff but odd/lacklustre hotel room."
We booked a 3 person room for our long weekend in Stockholm. Upon receiving the keys to our room and opening the door we were very aware that the room we were allocated appeared very different from the room advertised. We had been given what appeared to be a normal double room. We went back to the staff at the counter and they were happy to give us the keys to a larger room, we needed to call down to ask them to provide a roll out bed for us to use for the third person as there didn't appear to be any rooms with 3 beds in already. However the first stumbling block was that the phone didn't work in this room, so we were obliged to go downstairs and resolve the problem there. The staff were happy to help and send somebody to replace the phone and somebody else came up with a roll out bed and extra towels soon enough. After a little while we realised that on one side of the double bed a wooden board (see photo) had been place over the mattress and under the mattress topper (which is about 2 inches deep) We weren't sure if this had been left here in error or as some kind of jerry rigged fix to the apparently broken (and incredibly obscure and unexplained) electronic mechanism that appeared to make the middle of the bed raise up and down slightly. Either way it was unnecessary and would have been very uncomfortable to sleep on so we removed it. There was a frosted glass door to the bathroom, and an un-frosted glass window into the bathroom, a completely impractical and unnecessary design addition to the room that just made using the bathroom and maintaining privacy difficult in a room shared with family members. The thermostat only allowed minute and un-noticeable changes to the room temperature, which we felt was colder than we were comfortable with, the staff were happy to provide us with fan heaters (which unfortunately tripped the electrics a couple of times (fortunately there was a fuse box in the room) We were looking forward to using the pool and sauna but when we realised the price (about £20) for a guest to use the facilities for a couple of hours we decided that it wasn't worth it. The breakfast and hotel bar/restaurant were very good and the staff were always polite and helpful despite the oddity of the room.
