The room was beautifully appointed and quite comfortable, and I'm sorry we were only there for one night. The food was fantastic, too. The staff were professional and polite, and we would definitely book with them again.
"A perfect first visit to Ireland"
My wife booked our stay to include our 65th birthday. Arrival was easy, the room overlooked the back above a delivery yard but we were not disturbed during our stay. We enjoyed two excellent breakfasts, the Knights bar has a great atmosphere, and had a special meal, which was just that on Our last night there. Do best in mind the hotel is about 3 miles from the town centre, but there is a very good bus service. The concierge desk was excellent and when I left some keys behind located them and sent them on Very highly recommended If you do visit check out the old churchyard just round the corner where aBrAhAM Stoker was christened. Thanks for a great to all at the Clontarf and in Dublin
"Beautiful hotel, excellent concierge"
My husband and I stayed one night after our arrival in Dublin. Vijay the concierge was wonderful. We came straight from the airport about 10 am though check-in was not till later in the afternoon. Our plan was to leave our bags and head on into Dublin to fight off jet-lag but Vijay actually had our room ready in less than an hour so we were able to shower before heading to town. He also gave us directions to the bus stop that would get us to our noon appointment. Room was lovely and stocked with tea items, robes and slippers. Breakfast the next morning was incredible. Fresh honey straight from the hive and a huge assortment of cold and hot items. There are 2 bus stops, one of which is right outside the hotel gates and the other about a 10-15 minute walk. The next morning Vijay got us a cab into Dublin. Such a professional and friendly gentleman! All of the staff was great and even got me change for the bus. we would definitely recommend this as a spurge to anyone in the area.
"Absolutely perfect "
This was our first stop in Ireland, and what a way to kick off our honeymoon. We stayed two nights and couldn't have asked for more. The hotel is outside of the main downtown area, but we had no issues getting taxis to/from the main attractions. The staff was very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. Room was clean...shower a bit small, but otherwise no issues. The restaurants were able to accommodate my dairy allergy and offer many suitable options. Overall very pleased and would highly recommend!
"A Comfortable Castle Close to Dublin"
The pictures do justice to this lovely hotel just outside Dublin. The rooms are beautifully appointed, clean and comfortable. The staff is very helpful and will gladly give you directions to take a bus into the city (very easy) or help you plan your route to another destination. The food is wonderful and beautifully prepared.
