"What a let down!!!"
I travelled to this Hotel with my daughter on September 21st 2017.We arrived at the Hotel at 9pm. We were given no details about the Hotel, no rep to meet us. We were rushed to the restaurant as it was closing to be given left overs. The room that I booked for my daughter and myself was a twin room with full sea view. We were given a double room with limited sea view. We called the Hotel reception and was told that they would bring another bed for that night. That did not happen. The guest relations lady offered us a twin room the following day with an even more limited view of the sea. We declined. Eventually on day 3 of a 7 day holiday we got the room that we booked - a twin room with sea view. We were moved into the correct room on day 3 and that night someone from reception opened the door at 4am waking both my daughter and myself. He was showing someone to our room!!!! It had not been booked out properly. We were then woken again at 6.30am by a phone call from reception asking who was in the room. We reported this to the rep, Gavin and he investigated. The result was that he told us that there had been a mistake and the room was not booked out properly - end of story apart from "it should not have happened". The advert for this Hotel suggested that alcoholic drinks were available until 1 am, this was not possible as the Hotel closed the disco after night 1 as it was now low season. The drinks run out nightly and were not replenished for days. The food was mediocre at best. Most of the staff were unable to understand English and we were made to feel like an inconvenience. The entertainment was non-existent apart from watching a couple of swingers by the pool! It is such a shame as the pool was amazing and the setting lovely. One other good point was the cleanliness which was spot on.
"Lovely relaxing break."
I visited blue dreams in September for 2 weeks on my own.As this was my first holiday abroad on my own i felt scared and anxious so i emailed Ann explaining how i felt and just by her emails i could tell i would like her and feel at ease.On arrival Ann greeted me and showed me to my room, when i explained i felt uneasy due to people being able to walk into my balcony Ann changed my room.I stayed in the standard sea view room which was beautiful, fresh and clean.I had a lovely balcony furnished with a table and 2chairs add to this beautiful views of the ocean and hotel grounds. I felt like i was in a gorgeous little Grecian village. There was always beds at the beach or decking.I visited the lovely infinity pool once but found it too cold so spent most days at the beach as the sea was warm. The tea garden is really gorgeous with lovely views of hotel grounds and sea,I spent a lot of time here as I don’t drink alcohol so i can’t pass comment on what the alcohol was like. There is a large range of teas available as well as coffee and hot chocolate.Food at the main restaurant was nice always something i enjoyed, lovely salads, fresh fruit and delicious cakes. The wasps did bother me a lot as I’m terrified of them so spent my time moving tables or asking a waiter to please burn what i was told was Turkish coffee to keep the wasps away from my table. I also had a few treatments in the spa that are very relaxing and much cheaper than at home.Again with the treatments you can haggle. There is a small shop with a lovely lady who collects money to feed street animals 😊I am sorry i forgot your name but hello to your lovely dog alex 🐶 Hairdreser and tattoo shop also on site. Housekeeping are good and work hard. The snacks by the beach are delicious especially the fresh pizza,Turkish pitta bread, fresh fruit and salad .The paramedic onsite was very helpful when i had to ask for some advice.Thank you. On my last day I fell very unwell after eating some rancid butter and had to ask Ann to please find me an open chemist online.Ann kindly came into town with me and we found the chemist and got medication then we made our way back to the bus station where i had to say my goodbyes to a beautiful black female street dog who i think lives at the bus station 😢I bought her some food and water and spent time talking to her stroking her and gave her a big hug as i made my way to the dolmus.I said to Ann that i would only return to blue dreams because i felt cared for and safe as a single woman by Ann who is a wonderful lady as well as her lovely colleague who I’m so sorry for forgetting your name.Tabatha Ann’s cat is beautiful and friendly and will always welcome so yummy cat food or tasty cat treats.Thank you Ann for really looking after me. Kind regards, Maria x
"worse holiday ever!!!!"
Me and my fiancé check into hotel was not the best of greetings!! we was taken to our room very lovely and lovely views, we quickly change to go down to the pool as it was about 3pm so sill hopefully could still enjoy the rest of the day, we went to the pool bar ordered a drink and was ask for money!! felt embarrassed and did say we were al-inclusive, we started talking to a couple and ask did we not get our all-inclusive bands or even a welcome pack no we did not!! there was only us two that booked that afternoon !! to our horror we found out that there was only one restaurant and only one bar. we booked this hotel cos it still said on web site that there is 5 different restaurants and 5 different bars with entertainment every nite!! there was nothing as they said it getting to be the end of the season! but they still took full payment. the food was very very bland you would be lucky if you could find someone to order a drink, there was no atmosphere. Ann did not find us till late that nite to give us our bands found it embarrassing all day as we keep having to explain our selfs that we was all inclusive. not good management . this was our first holiday in 2 years and save up we were both stressed as we had just moved house and business , and my fiancé had just lost his mum, so we wanted a stressed free holiday! after the 2nd nite he was really ill on the 3rd nite I was really ill. we did complain to Ann about everything she was not interested said she could not take any more complaints that week and made excuses about everything shut !! there was so many people complained that nite. the beach you can walk from end to end about 2mins seriously the sea was rough and dirty think it was the 3rd nite they started about 9 o clock playing the birdie song then telly tubbies etc etc arrrhhhh really did not know we was in butlins!!! I could go on but think you get the drift the worse holiday ever first and last time in turkey I'm hoping to get some money back if not all I will get solicitors involved !!
"Wonderful place.could not fault it"
Went for two weeks at blue dreams and it was wonderful On arrival we was greeted by ANN the guest relations who got us signed in then took us to the restaurant to get something to eat before it closed Has for ANN she is a diamond not just a guest relations she also has to look after the staff Nothing was to much trouble for Ann she would help if had any problems and get them sorted out The food was good The staff was also very friendly and helpful I would recommend this hotel Could not fault it Will be going back next year The only reason we booked this hotel in the first place was because the place we always went to don’t us the big travel agents any more (their loss) We had the deluxe room
"5* your having a laugh!"
Firstly me and my mum visited blue dreams from 21st September for one week. We booked this holiday as my mum has been going through some hard times and this will be my last holiday for a while. I have travelled for many years and to various different places but none have been as disappointing as this. I'll start with the positives the location is beautiful and you can't fault the cleanliness. Everything else is truly negative! I am a fussy eater however all of the food is ridiculously tasteless and poor at best. At breakfast you are not shown to your table or even offered any kind of drink tea/coffee and in the lunch place, which you can't get self service drinks, you will be very lucky if you receive the drinks you ordered. The service you are given by all but two member of staff (mani and aysegul) is appalling I feel that they do not like the English. The only person that speaks any English is Anne the guest relations manager. Me and my mum went to bed one night and at 4am a member of staff opened our room door and woke me up. He was standing with another guest however didn't try to apologise just walked in and stood staring at me for a couple of minutes and left. This obviously shook me up and also left us both feeling very worried being two females alone in the room. We took ages to get back to sleep, once we did we were woke up again at 6.30am with a phone call from reception asking who was in the room as clearly they do not have the ability to organise. We told Anne the next day and was given a very unconvincing apology. As it was coming to the end of the season there were very few drinks that you could have as they kept running out of them and not replacing I think this could also be the reason for the poor food variation. I never once seen a cocktail or even drink menu and when I asked for one I was also told I will make you a drink which is not really acceptable. Another thing which isn't the hotels fault the place was full of swingers which made it a little uncomfortable at the pool area when they were trying to find new couples to swing with. It's no surprise that Thompson are dropping this hotel soon. Would not recommend to anyone!!!!
