Great hotel with excellent restaurant and services. Strongly recommend it!Comment of P. William , United States the 2015-02-26
We stayed after a cruise. The views are beautiful! We went to rooftop pool (infinity!) and jacuzzi. They had a bar at night for drinks. It was beautiful. The breakfast was delicious! Very nice selection of healthy food. Not your typical hotel breakfast at all. The concierge helped us plan a trip to Key West. I recommend this hotel very much!!!!!
"Excellent service at Conrad Miami"
I stayed at Conrad for 2 nights prior to taking a cruise. The hotel is located by the ocean in the financial district. Entering valet on the ground floor the reception and check-in is on the 25th floor. Check in was smooth and the duty manager, Enrique, could not have been friendlier or more attentive. He apologized for the hotel not having an executive lounge by giving my husband and I drink coupons. He assigned a nicer room, a corner king with views of the bay. As a gold member we were able to have free breakfast and both the buffet and a la carte items were delicious and impressive quality. The staff were very kind and cheerful throughout the hotel. Upon check-out I forgot my sunglasses in the room and the bellman, Rafiu, immediately helped to recover from the room. I was most appreciative. The room itself was comfortable, although I cannot say it was luxurious as one would expect from a Conrad. We were though very impressed with the staff and the and interest they take in their guests.
The guys was great with how fast and friendly the service was. Alfred Lima was very friendly and courteous to us. Always had a smile and made sure we had fresh waters!! Thank you very much can't wait to return.
"Not enjoying the change in management"
This has always been my favourite hotel but the recent change in management is not a positive change at all. First of all they have removed the fabulous daily HIlton Honors wine and cheese gathering. I have met some wonderful people here and always told other Hilton Hotels about the great job Conrad does/did. Very disappointing. The guest services guy did his best to compensate by providing me with drink vouchers but definitely not the same thing. The second thing I noticed was a shortage of staff in the cafe/breakfast area. It was hard to get anyones attention for coffee or drinks. I had commended Conrad on the improvement during my stay a year ago so it was disappointing to see how it had degraded. Not sure what is going on with Atrio but they have removed half the tables and the place looked bare and just plain weird. The food was amazing and the waiter was awesome but the ambiance was lacking. We were upgraded to a one-bedroom suite. Furniture is looking a little tired but they are lovely suites with huge bathrooms. Really not sure what is going on with the hotel but not sure it holds my top spot any more. Very disappointing. One positive thing was the lovely girl looking after the Atrio reservations and cafe seating. I took her name but can't seem to find it but you know who you are. You are originally from the New York area and recently moved to Miami. Your manager was there when I commended you (January 28). Great job! Your smile was infectious. Bring back the HIlton Honors wine bar reception and I may come back.
"Pleasant One Night Stay"
My husband and I stayed here for one night for the Miami Boat Show. We were only in Miami for one night, and we arrived before the check-in time, so we were almost sure we wouldn't be able to get a room. To our pleasant surprise, they gave us a room right away. It was so nice to not have to change in the hotel lobby bathroom and have them keep our luggage until we got back from the show in the evening. The room was nice, but the snacks that were all over were so tempting! I felt like it was an overload of snacks, and there wasn't any room in the mini-fridge to keep anything that was ours (it was filled with drinks to purchase). We didn't get to go to the pool, but our room looked over it. The "bay view" was blocked by another hotel/condo building, so that was a little of a bummer, but it is what it is. Also, the elevator situation was a little goofy. The lobby was on the 25th floor. You had to get off that elevator and go to a different elevator to get to the rooms. Our room was on the 20th floor, so you had to go up to the 25th floor to get to the lobby, then get into a different elevator and go down to the 20th floor. All in all, for one night, it was a nice stay.
