"Good location and value "
Part of a group staying here. Step above accommodations in Paris. My husband and I were in a double with two twins. #415 was quiet. My bed squeaked and was right against the wall on one side. Pillows rather flat. Housekeeping did a nice job every day. Bathroom is dated but met our needs. In-room safe and small frig. Elevators quick and required room card keys for access. Front desk and dining room/bar staff very cordial and efficient. Breakfast buffet excellent with international cuisines. Very busy between 7:30-9:30 am; sometimes a wait. Other than that and the not so satisfactory bed/pillows we enjoyed our stay. Close to High Kensington tube station and in a nice neighborhood. Might return on future trips.
"Woken three times in the night because of electrical faults"
I had to get someone up to my room because the light switches didn't work - waited half an hour for someone to come and fix the fuse and change two bulbs. One of the new bulbs blew straight away, and as the engineer was not carrying any more he asked if I minded doing without that one' Fine. 10 minutes after he had gone, the bedside light, which I particularly wanted, went off. I rang down but no-one arrived to fix it so after 45 minutes I rang and told them not to bother because I wanted to get ready for bed. I went to bed and was fast asleep when I was woken by a bright light - my bedside light - which had spontaneously come on. I switched it off and went back to sleep. 11pm it came on again and I was woken again. Rang for engineer - he came and disabled the switch. Just before he left, the room telephone rang .............no-one there, just a sound as if I was ringing someone else. Engineer left - I went to sleep. WOKEN YET AGAIN this time by faulty phone. I disabled the phone and went back to try to sleep. In the morning I put the receiver back on the phone and it once again started ringing with no-one at the other end, ust a dialling tone as if I was ringing out - 4 times before breakfast and continuing after breakfast. After lengthy discussion with hotel staff I was assured that I would be compensated - but over two weeks have past and I have received nothing and have nothing in writing.
"Great location, lovely staff, clean"
Stayed in for 1 night on a business trip. The hotel reception gave a very warm welcome and the staff were helpful. The room was spacious and clean. The bed was super comfy. The hotel had a gym which was great(as it was free). It was slightly small, but when it didn't seemed like it was used by many people. Breakfast was included, and the food was very nice. I had a free 1 drink voucher which was a nice little surprise. I would defiantly stay here again. Great hotel.Great location. Lovely staff
"Comfort = price"
Very good location (3min from underground station). Silent place. Clean rooms. Very friendly stuff. Best quality to price ratio! I stayed here for the first time for 3 nights, and had all that I needed.
"Very good conditions and very nice stay."
Fast and early check in, friendly and very pro staff. Very good breakfast, club category includes free drinks and snacks all day. Excellent room and bathroom, very clean and very nice view from 12th floor (specially in the night), except you can't open the window. You can't ventilate the room for fresh air. Located 3 min. walk from High Street Kensington, you can take no.9 or 10 bus or tube to city. Bus is more spectacular. There are many pubs in the area where you can eat (fish and chips recommended). Hurry up to see all the nice places and museums. Don't miss Thames pier and bridges. It's fabulous.
