The Corus Hotel Hyde Park is in a perfect location overlooking Hyde Park and only a short distance from the shops of Oxford Street, Knightsbridge and the bright lights of Theatreland. The establishment is only 2 minutes away from Lancaster Gate Tube Station and close to Paddington Train Station.

"Excellent Stay "
We stayed here recently days either side of watching the Antony Joshua fight. We had read that the room sizes were an issue but we did not find that this was a problem at all. Our room was spacious and extremely good value for money. The room came equipped with iron and iron board and hairdryer, something we did not expect. The room was clean and modern with a view do Hyde Park, albeit obscured by trees. It came with all modern conveniences that you would expect. The walls are thin but that is as much of a negative that I could find. The facilities in side the hotel were very good. Only slight down side was the residents bar which shut earlier than expected but not too much of an issue for us. When we visited the tube station at Lancaster Gate was shut, not ideal as had it been open the hotel becomes that much more accessible. That said the Queensway and Marble Arch tube stations are not that far away, approx 10 minute walk. There are always taxis outside for those that might not want to walk to tube stations. The walk through Hyde Park to Hyde Park Corner tube station is well worth it to blow a few cobwebs off. The Park is picturesque and has shops/cafes through the walk. All in all it was an amazing stay, thank you to all the staff from the friendly check in, concierge, maids and bar staff the made our stay welcoming. TIP: if you're staying for a special occasion then phone/email through in advance. Thanks again to all concerned.
"Very welcoming service"
My girlfriend and I had returned to Victoria late after our flight was delayed, and I remember hearing that this hotel was nearby and had a good reputation. I was very pleased with my experience, as all of members of staff were very welcoming and pleasant. Orsolya ensured that we had all the information we needed, such as where the restaurant was and the breakfast serving times, and also ensured that we could always contact someone should we need anything throughout the duration of our stay - fantastic assistance! Our room was very spacious and quite luxurious! Everything we need (and then some!) was provided. Our stay was fantastic, and I would return/recommend this hotel to others in future!
"Little room, big price."
Location: Excellent. Cleanliness: Very good. Comfort: Very good. Facilities: Average. Room size: Laughable. Price: Eye-watering, for what it was. The location of this hotel is excellent, with Hyde Park just a minute away on the other side of Bayswater Road and the excellent little Italian Garden Cafe very conveniently placed nearby. Road noise was minimal considering how close the hotel is to one of London's busier roads. But the location couldn't make up for the fact that this was the smallest hotel room that it has ever been my misfortune to encounter. It's no exaggeration to say that the two of us had to move furniture around in order to pass each other - "What, you want to get to the bathroom' Well let me just shift this chair out of the way and then I can squeeze in here and you can edge past me...." If you suffer from claustrophobia, even mildly, then this is a hotel to avoid. Bearing in mind the cost, it really shouldn't be too much to expect a room that's big enough to allow you to get into bed without having to edge your way in sideways along the tiny gap between bed and wall. Other than the pathetic room size, it's actually not too bad. The bed was quite comfy, considering it had to to double up as cupboard and storage space (there's a minimally-sized wardrobe and a couple of drawers, but any suitcases or bags will have to be stored under the bed). It was clean and functional, which is okay if you're planning on spending most of your time away from the room. If you're after somewhere pleasant where you can enjoy the room itself then give it a miss. Oh ... and if you like milk in your tea/coffee then you'll need to ask for extra. I think there must have been a shortage when we were there, because we only got enough to make two drinks. One tea, one coffee, milk all gone : "The Great Cow-Juice Shortage Of 2017", they called it.....
"Delightful stay in fantastic location"
We did not have such high expectations for the hotel, considering similarly-rated hotels near Paddington. It turned out to be a delightful hotel, with nicely-sized room for us to begin our UK and Europe vacation from London. The staff was very friendly and helpful with travel tips. The breakfast was halal, which was a huge plus for us, even though the spread was a bit on limited side. Will definitely considering staying here again if we return to London.
"Very good cleaning in the room"
Do you have some minutes to spend, to read a feedback from april 2017 ' Our first time at this hotel, of 14 trips to London the last seven years. If you find a good value price, then this hotel is recommended. There was some small issues, that hasnt any big problems if you are used to the english type of bed with springs that you feel in your back at nighttime. In Sweden we have a top thick mattress, that you have the sheets around, to cover the springs on the lower mattress, at this hotel room 915 we felt all of them. Though I asked for 3 specific details for our room: 1. High up in the hotel, 2. Towards the street not the backside, as I had seen pictures on tripadvisor before 3. Far Away from the lift. There was only one of them that was fulfilled, 1 High up, just under the top floor. But then.. The room was wall to wall with the lifts... The room was towards the back of the building, with a lousy view over the next buildings big noisy AC or heather fans, and on the backyard. As we was going to stay 5 nights, they where nice to offer us to change the next day, but we decided to stay in the room anyway. Why...' The lifts you couldnt hear at all. And the noice from the fans was ok when I figured out the difficulty to shut the window in a proper way There was a mish match with the look and the upper window, so when I force the look to be closed... I , you will, push the upper window outwards so there is a min gap that allows noice to pass thru between the upper and lower window. So after the first night I figger it out and the backyard noice was ok to sleep in, but just so you know if they havnt fixed it when you get this room, 915, you should know that the last day when we went down to breakfast and left it closed, it had open by it self, probebly a small draft triggering it to open when we closed the door going to the lift. Some small details more: 2 different times for breakfast was displayed, one by the lift and one at the entrance on the restaurant floor, and when I point it out there wasnt any bigger respons, and was still wrong for our 6 days stay. The computer in the restaurant was real dirty as.... see picture, and it did not give a good first impression, same lame respons. Every day at breakfast, people that used the toaster machine, had their bred standing still without going in to the machine. I helped several guest during our stay, and when I pointed out this to the head manager that it would be good to turn the Grid up side down, to fix it, I dont think he understand my english... or just as the other service person, just didnt bother to care about it. We did not eat at the hotel restaurant By mistake we took the lift down to the cellar, did not look so cool. In a really good hotel you care about the guests, and their total experianc of their stay. Very good was the room cleaning, full five star if they also take a sweep on the TV-control the next time. Good breakfast, with no picture taken this time, just one at the Toasters Grid that up side down, wasnt working so good. Why have a machine that cost money to check the weight of the guests luggage, is it because kids plays with it otherwise... or just for get a pound more out of the guest, time to change it to good service instead. Another small detail, change your flag sometimes, it something to be proud of and it doesnt look so good when hanging in rags.
