"Very comfortable rooms, food OK"
The hotels at Sauípe Resorts (Ala Terra, Ala Mar, etc) are very comfortable. We stayed in a triple room (King size bed plus a double bed for my 5-yr old child), and the beds were really worth the fame, not only in size but also in comfort of the matresses. The food was OK, not wowing good, but very reasonable and varied. At Sauípe Resorts you have the all inclusive buffet style, so watch out for your the overeating and drinking (including alcoholic beverages and drinks). The Wi-Fi internet was always down or fluctuating, so that's not a strong point at the Resorts. Otherwise, many different activities, including nautic sports, a farm, horse riding, court sports, pools and beaches. Good facilities for kids staying all day with monitoring is also a plus in the pace. Overall, I recommend staying there.
There are better resorts, but they´re much more expensive also! The entertainment staff are excellent... Especially Tito, Alex, Laís and Dinho. Food is good. Drinks are excellent! There are 4 hotels into the Sauípe Resorts and you can enjoy all his pools and bars! Great time!
"Nice for a short trip (if you are not expect any luxury)"
All in all this resort needs a complete renovation if it would be a luxury hotel. For a budget hotel it's quiet good, except the price. The room was spacious but need a renovation, Everywhere you saw that lots of travelers used the room. The restaurante has the charm of a big Mc Donalds restaurant (sorry, mostly MC D looks better). Few days after this stay I stood at the Sofitel in Lisbon. Wow. What a difference. For this resort i gave maximum 3 stars.
"Don't lose your time and money!"
That's was my first and last time here, Enotel is better at all aspects. I just wait the Sauípe Staff work hard to fix all things that Costa do Sauípe needs. so I was there only to work and i got 2 more days, now I'm really bored because I know that I just lost my money!
We visited this hotel in July, with a another couple and their 2 small kids. Overall the experience was good, however, there is a lot of room for improvement... This is an all inclusive resort, so let´s analyze! The food: Abundant and quite varied, but it was basically the same for lunch and dinner, every day... The restaurant was overly crowded, way too small for the amount of guests, eating was not a pleasure moment. The drinks: Free and available thrughout the day, but besides the scotch (Ballantines) and the Vermouth (Martini), everything else was of low quality brands, I´ve never heard off before... Oh, the beer (Budweiser) and the Caipirinhas where good. Regarding the Caipirinhas, if you want to taste the best ever caipirinha, look up Gabriel in the pool bar! Gabriel has his own reciepe, and his caipirinhas where the best ever!! There where only 2 bars, (besides the wet bar in the pool) the one outside closed quite early, so if you want to sit and relax outside, you need to make the walk to the lobby bar to get your drinks. The entire resort was very clean, (you could see people cleaning all time!) The rooms, where not as clean... But it was o.k. The balnkets where not soft at all, even too small for the bed... The minibar is free and replenished every day, however, after our third night, I had to call the front desk several times throughout the day, to get refill... Besides drinking and eating, there is not much to do in the resort, you can take a short buss ride (free) to a small (really small) lagoon where you can rent kayaks and canoes. The pools in the resort are o.k, big and never too crowded. The beach is directly accesed from the resort, and absolutely amazing!! One taught if you are traveling with eldery or mobility challanged persons: My wife was using a wheel chair at the time, as she was recovering from a broken leg. The hotel staff where very friendly and lended us a wheel chair during our stay. The hotel is not wheelchair friendly at all... steps everywere... 3 of the 4 elevators where out of svc during our stay. Also, it was a real challenge to get a table at lunch/dinner.... Bottom line: if you want to spend a week, just relaxing, don´t mind the crowds at the restaurant, and don´t expect 5 stars quality, this is a good option. We had a good time!
