"Valuable for money if you would like to stay in a Marriott hotel"
It's my first time trying out a Marriott hotel. Cost and location were my criteria for choosing it. Choice of room: Deluxe room What I like' 1. Big room 2. TV is very clear as compared to other hotels I ever tried out in Singapore (i.e. regent hotel, mandarin oriental, quincy) 3. Centralized location, near to popular malls e.g. centralworld, platinum mall - there is free hotel tuk tuk shuttle to nearest BTS station (Chit Lom & Siam) which operates till 8pm daily. 4. Staff are fast to respond to guest's response (i.e. aircon temp is locked, so had to inform front desk to send a technician to adjust it to be cooler). 5. Service provided by staff is generally acceptable due to inconsistencies received. Upon arrival, it was a front desk manager (Sorry I can't remember her name) who had served us and she is very friendly as well as another front desk staff who served us drinks and towels to freshen ourselves up. She even joke that lightened up our day. However, upon check-out, it was a guy front desk staff who served us and somehow his tone of talking did not sound receiving. These are subjective encounters so try not to let it bias and prevent you from choosing this hotel. 6. What is most helpful is upon arrival, we are given maps of the surrounding and bangkok map for ease of commuting. In addition, a card with the hotel's address is provided that can be showed to taxi / tuk tuk drivers as language can be a barrier at times. What can be improved' 1. Buffet breakfast - selection of food is acceptable but quality can be improved further. Taste: 3/5 2. If hotel's tuk tuk shuttle can extend service to the nearby shopping malls 3. shower area a little narrow Nearest night markets to the hotel you can visit: 1. Neon night market (30 min walk) - opens daily 2. Chatukchak weekend market - opens on Sat & Sun only (up till 6pm). Best way to get there is by BTS (Mo Chit station) as there bound to be traffic jam. The Tuk tuk driver was very frank and advised us to take BTS instead. Best to also obtain a map from the information booth and also ask for directions if you know what you have in mind to shop for, because the place is like a big maze and might get lost. 3. Rod Fai night market - is about 19Km away, opens Thu - Sun. Best way is to take a tuk tuk / cab, about 30 min drive. However tuk tuk might be able to save some time especially during a jam as some drivers can take shortcuts. Cost of tuk tuk ride between 250 - 300 Baht).
It was a Comfy stay. Took a taxi from DMK airport to the hotel for about 300 baht(30mins) Hotel was located within Siam area, thus it was a great location to get everything! Hotel was located quite at the end of an alley. You get to enjoy peace and silent at night. Safely was not an issue at night with sufficient lights and security. 24Hr supermarket available within few mins walk I stay in a basic room at level 3. it was spacious and street view is good. it is clean and housekeeping service is good. Had a good times using their gym too :) Wifi speed is superb! Front desk service is prompt and staff manage quene well. i receive help from transport counter. Great thanks to them:) Will definitely be back :)
"fantastic value, great location, lovely staff"
Nothing but great things to say about Courtyard BK. The staff...Killian, Ammy, the door chaps (names'!) are all spectacular. Nathaporn...she's just lovely. The executive lounge folks'! As good as they come. Always treated like a king here. 5/5 would recommend.
Basic business hotel. If you hardly in the hotel then can stay here. Clean rooms, extremely helpful staff. A Small pool. Advantage is they have a free tuk tuk shuttle to the two closest BTS at Chitlom or Rajdamri. Else it is a 10min walk.
I stayed there in May during my business trip in Bangkok for 9 nights considering as a long stay. However, every time that I go to have breakfast they always ask about my room number. I can't believe that they didn't remember my room number and the person that asked the question is the same person that I meet every morning. On 19 May, I asked some information about the airport transfer (early flight) with a guy(concierge) in the evening shift around 8PM, However, he didn't give me assistance and during the conversation there was another guest came to ask information by interrupting the conversation. Surprisingly, he (concierge) has abandoned he conversation with me and start with that guest. I walked out from the concierge desk ashamedly without any arrangement.
