"Courtyard Berlin City Center Axel-Springer-Str. 55, 10117 Berlin, Germany"
Rooms in this hotel are modern, and clean providing a comfortable environment for a few nights stay. Good value for money and would stay again. This hotel is in a good location, close to checkpoint Charlie (about 10' walk) and also Gendarmenmarkt square's Neue Kirche cathedral (also 10' walk to another direction). The staff is very courteous. You can rent a bike downstairs and go around the city, it was an excellent experience. Overall it was a great stay, and I would stay there again.
"Not that good"
Was a little disappointed and as big Traveller was used to have better service in that kind of hotel. Rooms are not soundproof as you can hear all the noise coming from the corridor. Breakfast buffet is quite big but the bread as example was not fresh and the orange juice not tasty at all. The good point is the nice location to visit Berlin and the proximity of the metro.
This hotel is a good option in Berlin, close to checkpoint Charlie (about 10' walk) and also Gendarmenmarkt square's Neue Kirche cathedral (also 10' walk to another direction). Eventhough it is close to these landmarks, it feels a little isolated at night when you are looking where to have dinner and it is cold outside. There are not many options close by, or at least less than 10' walking. The hotel only has one restaurant downstairs. The staff is very courteous, rooms are spacious, beds comfortable and bedding is very nice. We had breakfast included and it was good, the whole grain croissants as well as the chocolate ones are excellent, fresh and crispy. You can rent a bike downstairs and go around the city, it was an excellent experience. Overall it was a great stay.
"Fantastic big rooms"
Rooms in this hotel are modern, clea and spacious providing a comfortable environment for a few nights stay. Restaurant provided some nice food options for lunch (didn't eat there for dinner) although the breakfast options were limited and could be greatly improved. I was attending an event at the hotel so didn't get a chance to get out and about but it was located about 5 mins drive from the main train station. Good value for money and would stay again if ever back in Berlin.
We chose this hotel to hopefully get a little softer bed than most German hotels. Our bed was maybe a bit softer, but not like the Courtyard beds in the States. We still got very sleep, comfortable room, quiet. What made our visit better was the excellent front desk staff. Very attentive and helpful.
