"great, dependable American hotel"
This is a dependable American hotel - not 5 star but excellent in the limited service it provides. I had a nice room, the gym is decent (with a water cooler to refill your own water bottles!), great front desk (though no full-blown concierge like a full service place) and a tasty breakfast with a variety of options - a la carte or full buffet. Kitty-corner on Blaha Lujza Ter from the 5 Star Boscolo, but if that gem is out of your pricerange, this is a solid substitute.
"Good value, convenient location"
Stayed 2 nights here over the Christmas holidays and the price was really tempting, basically that was the main reason I booked this hotel. I know Budapest well and I know it is not the most scenic location but I also know that it is a new hotel on a particularly easy reach from the city center. Trams, busses and underground are right there. The hotel was not too busy, so we had a nice quiet time. Check in went quickly, got a spacious room with a nice bathroom (with bath) and twin beds. Temperature was good in the room however the air-conditioning is pretty loud. The bed was ok and big. I was happy to be able to take my mum here for a nice vacation, she had a good sleep ;-) I liked the big bathroom with a lot of space to spread all our toiletries, this is how it should be in every hotel's bathroom. Room was clean. Our windows were facing the other building therefore we unfortunately did not see much of the lovely sunshine but we were mostly outside in the city anyway. Possibly it is better to be in the inner side of the building as I can imagine the other rooms facing the busy street with trams and not sure how much noise comes in. We also did not eat in the hotel so can't suggest anything breakfast or dinnerwise. I would definitely recommend this hotel for city hoppers as it is in a really convenient location and it has been offered on a reasonable price.
"Blue Danube Cruise"
Rooms clean, up-to-date decor. Good food, excellent variety and friendly accommodating staff. The Free breakfast was certainly plentiful with a wide variety of delectable choices. One young waitress was extra helpful.
"Good value on the Danube!"
I stayed here on the occasion of a European vacation to celebrate a milestone birthday. It just so happens I spent my birthday here. I chose this hotel because it's part of the Marriott brand and was a great price. Due to my Platinum status I was given an upgraded room. I got a large, corner room with a street view. The hotel is located on the edge of the Palace District and a short-ish walk from the Danube and the main attractions found there. This hotel was a great base from which to get out and about and explore Budapest which quite a beautiful city.
I recommend this hotel hands down. Service, cleanliness, perfect location as well. Breakfast included in the hotel price and with extensive varieties for all tastes. Very friendly and helpful staff all around. Restaurant and bar very accessible as well..
