"Better location than i thought!"
Beautiful hotel with super friendly and helpful staff. I was greeted every time I walked by. We thought it might be too far to the heart of things but the location was great. Situated next to the Ritz which is on the corner of Iberville and Dauphine. You have privileges at the Ritz for $10 per day but beware the pool is super small. We didn't want to pay for valet but pulled in to the small and only entrance and unloaded. The valet took our keys and offered to help with our bags. Told us to go check in and recommended a parking garage just a few blocks away. He was very helpful. The hotel offers a bistro with a small menu but also Starbucks coffee. If they are closed you can ask the front desk and they will make you a cup.
We came to town to catch a Saints game and decided to stay a couple of extra days. We picked the hotel primarily by its location (part way to the Superdome and right on the edge of the French Quarter.) That part was spot on. But the pleasant surprise was the condition of the hotel. Some hotels in this area I've stayed in are a bid dingy, but this one is in fantastic shape. The common areas are great, and the two-room suite was perfect for our needs. The control offered by a single point of entry into the hotel that's manned and elevator that only served the entry and lobby added to the secure feeling. No one can get to the guest room elevators without passing by the front desk. And the front desk staff got to know us - and I assume others staying for a couple of days. We were a bit disappointed in the sparse condition of the exercise room and that no pool/hot tub is available without paying a fee to get into the adjacent Ritz Carlton. But that just got us out and about in this unique city to get in our exercise. All in all, a fantastic stay.
"Third trip to NOLA - third time staying at hotel - Trifecta!"
We stayed here when the hotel was originally named The Iberville and now again as a Courtyard. The hotel is in a perfect location, just a couple of blocks from Bourbon St. to avoid some of the nonsense, but still close to the action. Even though close to Bourbon St, you'd never guess because of how quiet it is. Rooms are large and comfortable and the staff is consistently friendly, welcoming and helpful. Specifically, Sharacus at the front desk is a true ambassador for the hotel and is the epitome of hospitality. We will definitely return and stay at this hotel.
"Decent place close to the sites"
My wife, daughter and I stayed here for a night the second weekend of September. It was a pretty standard Courtyard. Great location and friendly, helpful staff. They helped us arrange transportation for an early morning departure at the airport and made a couple of recommendations for places to eat. The hotel was an easy walk to Bourbon street and the river. If you’re looking for a reasonably priced, safe place to stay near the night life, this hotel is a good choice.
Great, clean, and modern hotel. All of the staff were really nice and helpful. Donh was really nice - he brought my daughter a king cake when he brought us more towels. She loved the cake!! We stayed in the double king suite. You can shut the door to separate the second bedroom from the rest of the suite (which is great for couples who are traveling with children). Also valet parking was great. We could come & go as we pleased for just $38 per day. (A great feature because finding a parking space is difficult in that area). Just call 15 minutes before you're going to leave your hotel room and the car will be ready and waiting for you. Super convenient and we never had to wait for the car. Only negative part of the stay is that we requested early check-in, but our room wasn't ready until 4:15 pm. But the hotel has a great location so we were able to go to Bourbon street for lunch (valet held our suitcases until we returned from lunch and could check in). A great hotel - we are going to stay there again next time we visit NOLA.
