"Value for money"
We spent in Crown Plaza wonderful 5 days during New Year. We had good clean room with very nice bathroom. I loved the warm floor idea, especially during winter after cold street it was nice. The toiletries were a good quality. Also in the room were various teas and coffees included. The gym was fine, but would be nice to have a swimming pool with spa, especially after cold windy weather outside. The breakfast was very good, nice room and atmosphere with candles. I loved their juice machine controlled from iPad. Very friendly staff at breakfast area, always with smiles and good mood! We stayed in hotel for a New Years eve. The dinner was served in the atrium, it was a great buffet with variaty of sea food, hot dishes, nice cheeses and great desserts, after we went to celebrate New Year to the upper floor of the Towers. There was very nice and romantic atmosphere, traditional danish "hugge", but was lack of music, a little bit boring. Despite the distance to the city centre the hotel located conveniently close to the public transport stops. Very comfortable transfer from/to the airport with small fee a plus side as well. Overall the hotel is good choice and fairly priced.
Very close to a local train station and to the airport. We stayed one night. The bathroom had heated floors which I thought was pretty cool. The room was comfortable and was a good size. Staff was friendly. The bartender was very knowledgeable. I will definitely go back there next time I am in Copenhagen.
"Excellent hotel, except for the aircondition"
Crowne Plaza is great for sustainability, and the lobby with its trees and discrete seating offer a great welcome. It is close to the metro, the breakfast is good, the lunch is decent, and the business facilitites are good too. Rooms are excellent. Comfy beds, a nice reclining chair and well-equipped bathroom. There is, however, one major issue. The only way to regulate the room's temperature is the aircondition, which is really noisy, and that is incredibly frustrating when you need to sleep. Quieter air con, an option to open windows or just a regulator radiator would be a major upgrade.
"Wonderful hotel !"
We had an unplanned overnight stay in Copenhagen. We were fortunate to find a room here since it was so close to Christmas (Dec. 20). There wasn't a speck of dust anywhere, the staff was extremely helpful and friendly, there was an ATM in the lobby where we could use our debit cards to get Danish money, the room was well-appointed and very comfortable - in short, this is an excellent hotel close to the Copenhagen airport. There is an airport shuttle available for 15 DK per person. The restaurant was also very good. The breakfast (included) is wonderful! This hotel is also only a little more than a block away from a great shopping mall.
"Great for families"
As a family we couldn’t find a better hotel in Copenhagen – great modern rooms, yet with a warm comfortable style, heated bath rooms floors and possibility to adjust the temperature in the room yourself (Especially important with kids). The staff are very friendly and caring. After a few breakfasts here, it felt like we were leaving family – the kids just love the staff, and so do we. The location is just amazing – great hiking possibilities very close, a huge shopping mall with restaurants, movies and a 24 hour supermarket one block away. And with both the train and Metro right outside the door, all the greatest family attractions in Copenhagen are just minutes away. Here is what we did: Download the DOT Mobilbiletter app. Super easy to buy tickets that are valid for all types of transportation in one, or the even cheaper online ticket card. Children under 12 rides for free. For them you shouldn’t buy tickets at all. Or you can buy the Copenhagen card in the reception that includes both attractions and transportation. Airport is just two stops and a few minutes away with the train. Tivoli is one stop away. To visit the new Experimentarium (Kid’s rated it almost at high as the Tivoli), take the train to Hellerup, just a few more stops. From there you can walk the last kilometer or take the local A1 bus on the same ticket. With the Metro you can go straight to Nyhavn / Strøget – take it outside the rush hour, and the kids can sit all in the front in the driverless train – for our 8 year old twins it was an attraction in itself. This is the third New Year’s Eve we spend at this hotel – the new year buffet is a great arrangement, this year in the hotel’s indoor garden. No wonder we will be back next year.
