"High end hotel for a good price."
Nice addition to the IHG group. Excellent facilities and a must place to stay if you are a plane spotter. Access to the London public transport network is limited but the staff are great at helping you get to where you need to go. Breakfast is amazing but like all hotels, pricey.
"Excellent service from staff and nice harbor view"
Stayed here 3 or 4 times last 2017. As always, the staff from reception, bar/restaurant and housekeeping were all friendly and accommodating specially patient with children. They also gave us the best family room with a view. Food was great. Valet service is also fantastic!
"Ok for what we required"
Stayed here last night with famnily and friends as were attending Winterville, not far from here. In all honesty we chose this place purely on its proximity to the above, and for that, to be fair, it was fine. Check in was a little long winded but nothing dreadful. Rooms were very, very warm, I like to be warm, but this was verging on stifling. Bed quite soft and pillows not great. Plenty of amenities and everything else you would want for one night. Had a couple of drinks in the bar before we went out and again when we returned. Although the staff were friendly enough the service wasn't up to much, drinks ordered were incorrect every time they were brought to the table! Mistakes happen, of course, but every time''' Slept ok and breakfast was also just ok. I don't know, I think we all have higher expectations and perhaps generally stay in higher end hotels, but would I stay again, probably not. But for convenience of location for last night it was fine.
The room view was one of fabulous ones, river thames view on 14th floor, on top of London. Everything perfect and relaxing, the only thing was that we were informed in xmas day the spa is open and we only booked for a night time, however we used the spa on xmas eve, but it was closed in xmas day, although they said it’s gonna be open. If I hadn’t used the spa the day before, it could ruin all my trip.
"The Hotel From Hell."
We arrived on Christmas Eve afternoon. Our room was ridiculously hot and there is no opening windows and QUADRUPLE glazing, due to the London Heliport being next door. We asked to move rooms. The next room was just as hot. We were going out to visit family and asked the reception staff if they could cool it down by the time we got back around 11pm. It is a "smart" hotel and everything can be controlled from the reception. We arrived back at around 11pm to a boiling room. After attempting to exist in it we gave up and packed again after asking for a third room. The night manager had finally admitted that the whole of our floor's air conditioning was not working! This was 1am. After the staff left us in room number three the computer reduced the temperature to 13oC. It was freezing! When we put the lights out and tried to sleep - they came back on every five minutes so we took the room key out from the slot by the door. Unfortunately this meant that the bathroom was in darkness. Every time we got the bathroom lights on they went off whilst one of us was in there. This place is a nightmare. Never, ever stay in it.
